Shaostoul & Blue Knight presents: Nanowalls
Expanding your universe since May 2014!

The nanowalls are essentially walls that can be toggled on and off which allows you to either walk or fly through them or not.. These are an upgraded version of this force field mod: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=420351819

While going to place them, you'll see an orientation model, to make sure your nanowalls line up properly for the purpose of textures appearing properly. Once placed they are opaque and impassable, this is their default "off" state. You then go into the terminal and you can set what their on and off states look like.

Them defaulting to off and impassable is to combat the issues of the force field mod where the "fill" sections were incredibly hard to click on due to their lack of physics, which made aiming at them and constructing or deconstructing them very difficult.

They possess a custom component called Nanobots. It's a cube shaped component that has glowing green bits on it. They allow for you have a light weight wall, with a lot of strength. They also are made of only gravel aka process stone. They however do use a lot of stone to create, so hold onto that stone if you plan on making a big wall.

KNOWN BUGS
-Pistons interact with nanowalls that are turned off. This causes clang when turning the nanowalls on while the piston has moved blocks in the nanowall.

Mod details:
All blocks are in a "Shaostoul" tab.
Large & small grids

Available blocks:
- 1 - Nanowall Fill (functional)
- 3 - Nanowall Edges (cosmetic)

Text HUD API is not required, but it improves the functionality of the mod. As a result it is highly encouraged for the full experience of the mod.

How to use Nanowalls:
Each block is added to a field group when placed. if no blocks have been placed since a save has been loaded the block will be added to its own field group.
Blocks start in the off state
Only one block will show up in the terminal with the controls to change field colors and appearance as well as toggle the whole filed on and off
When on you can pass freely though the field and the field is almost untouchable.
When off you collide with fields and they can be touched . To remove or edit blocks in a field they first must be switched off
To edit blocks in a field:
Look at a block while holding any tool and right click on it while pressing one of three keys:
Alt - Removes the block from its current field and puts it in a field of its own. It also selects this field as the "Selected Master" meaning any blocks you place next will be added to this field. If the block is the only block it its field, this will do nothing.
Shift - Select the block as the "Selected Master" Allowing blocks to be added to this field.
Control - Adds the block to the "Selected Master" field. If no master is selected this will not do anything.

It's a shame, but it's the truth. If there's no incentive to continue doing something then you end up stopping that thing.

For example: I hadn't played Space Engineers in a long time due to my crappy bandwidth, I continued to mod it cause I love this community and the developers.

Unfortunately I've fallen on hard times and decided to focus on my future, which unfortunately meant no longer modding. Within the first couple months my Patreon support quadrupled to $200/month for developing my own game.

Whenever I can, through the success of Project Universe, I may return to modding SE. This time I'll have a team, so the quality of everything will jump significantly. If I had $2000/month at the start of this year from Patreon, I would've kept modding SE.

When you use Workshop Mods, those are the chances you take.
None of the Authors are obligated to Update or even Keep their mods on the Workshop. They do all of these out of the kindness of their hearts and in their Free Time. They're Not getting paid for these.
Mods breaking because of DX11 are Not the Author's fault. Mods breaking are the risks of both creating & using mods. The Devs are under no obligation to make sure old mods work with their updates. Their only concern is the game itself.

The Witch deleted all of their mods from their workshop page and fucked a lot of people over with those blocks in their designs. Half of my designs became broken when the DX11 heavy armor mod was deleted.

I'll see about getting my SE mods fixed when I'm able to pay someone to do it. It might be a long time until that happens.

Shaostoul if my pc could read C# code i would but this all C# look in my pc rpr so i can't fix it sadly

I can't fix it, it might require someone with C# knowledge which I do not possess. If someone wants fix it they're welcome to let me know they want to that way they don't get flagged for copyright.

ever one that use this right now it buged it crashing as soon you place a filler
