A decent mod. Maybe expand the preparation time, cus 20 min is not enough for such a big map. And than also expand the time to defend with like 10 min. For the rest it seems fine, only that to many germans have russian weapons which you cant resupply. Maybe put like 1-2 person per squad with a russian weapon but not 4-5. Still I had fun.

Part 3 : Last thing is the localization folder . The same procedure as the resource stuff except it saves the mission . Again look at this mod for reference (should be something like localization>mission>single>00>mission file which you can find inside localization folders of base game , should have the same name as name of the map) .
You should also add the campaign file (Copy it from this mod open in notepad and change the file name as you want) . You should also add a loading screen for tge mission . Simply name a picture you want as your loading screen preview and put it inside the map folder . That is bassically it .

Part 2 :
When you did that you will need to put all your files inside the mod folder . To make it easier open the mod folder of ths mod (winter in stalingrad) . First thing is mod.info folder . Copy it and open in notepad. Remove the file id lines and rename the name and description as you wish (It is the name and description you see in the mod options ) .
Next thing is the resource folder . Inside it goes your map . There is exactly an order of folders you need to follow to get it to work which you can figure out by looking into this mod (the order should be resource>maps>single>00>map folder) .

Part 1 : 1st thing you need to do is in the mission editor . When you open your map and mission go into f3 mode and then press f9 . Scroll through the window that popped up until you find player ( player
- ) . Then press the - and select a player (for example player 0) . When you select that all troops which are under command of player 0 will be under the command of the player (if you don't do this all troops on the field will be neutral and you won't be able to command them) .

dank bullet can you help with making my maps/missions playable through the games single player options. Below you mentioned folders for missions and campaign, I need more info regarding this. Cheers.

Look at any mod files with mission in them . You will need to have a resource and a localization folder . In the localization folder goes the mission ( .mi file) but you need to have a special organisation if folders (localization>>mission>>single>>00>> .mi file I think) and for the resource you need to put it like this (resources>>map>>single>>00>>map name). 00 refers to where the mission is placed (00=top,01=one below that etc.). I am not sure about the paticular organisation of folders but you can see that in any mod with missions in them . I would send you a picture of how it is supposed to be but my PC is on repairs currently. Also in the localization file you need to have a campaign.mi file (copy it from some other mission,enter with notepad and change the title of how you want) . And to post in in the workshop you need to have a mod.info file (again enter it with notepad and change the title and description and delete the file id line)

Hey man. Since we last spoke ive made a map and a simple mission for it. (Jungle. usa vs japan)
The vid you shared were really helpful, but now ive run into another problem. I dont know how to get my map/mission into the base game..
Do you know any guides for this? I cant seem to find any myself.

It is intended to be played in the base game but no one is stopping you to play it in the editor if you want to.

Not quite. This one is going to have a German and a Soviet campaign and is not going to include those two missions.

Working on a Stalingrad campaign . I will maybe release a mission in which you play as the Soviets as a demo or something.

The minimap is only visible in the base game .

The minimap is not visible from the editor? But in the video he shows you the minimap works in the editor. or am I just misunderstanding something?

I use Gimp( I also use it to edit skins from time to time) to crop the minimap (minimap is bassically a screenshot but the south should be at the bottom of the screen and north at the top otherwise the minimap will be inverted) and DXTBmp to turn it to dds. Both are free to download . After you turn it to dds you need to place it in the map folder of the mission and it has to be named minimap . The minimap is not visible from the editor .

Im making a pacific map/ mission, but i cant make the minimap work.
What program do you use when you make your minimap? is ms paint good enough? And what program do you use to convert the file to a .dds file?

I know you said this could be played with out 1 of 2 mods but do we need Robz mod to play this?

i like defense mission

a fun mision, plenty of time to prepare, plenty of positions to ocupy and retreat to.
i would give this 9 out of 11

I dont like defend missions, but i still played this one and I think it was good. Not to hard or easy.
You could dl a pacific map already made and edit it a bit and give credit to the creator.
And a stalingrad mission is always nice (unless its a defence mission imo) and a campaign wouuld be great! :)
