@Dox Quixotic: Honesty top speeds are a bit of a crapshoot in TpF from what I've seen. There's all sorts of different ways you can measure it, so it'll vary from locomotive to locomotive, and modder to modder. For example do you consider top speed as the engine's theoretical maximum speed or do you consider it their optimal service speed? So there's all sorts of variations that go on.

Also keep in mind that 19th century trains were faster than most people realize when they were doing top speed runs. You had engines hitting - and exceeding - 120kph way back in 1850. So yeah. I try to make the numbers make sense, but it's always a bit of a shot in the dark xP

Thank you for maintaining these mods so well! I just feel a little dirty using this engine because it completely eclipses the vanilla Prussian G3 because of it's speed... Even though it seems historically correct. Oh well, you know what they say about gift horses! ;-)

UPDATE: Fixes to the mesh and textures so the file is generally smaller and will look a bit nicer - particularly the reflection on surfaces like the boiler.

Also new smoke emitters - If you're already running these engines in game, just send them to a depot and back out again to activate the new smoke emitters.

Have you considered adding Southern Railway and BR versions of your locos? (Where appropriate.) I think this would be greatly appreciated by many people.

SteveM4: Cheers, I'll let you know if I wind up using it (and obviously credit will be given), but I'm still deciding if I go about it and how I'd go about it. I'm sort of thinking if I do make a H2, I'll also make the H1 as well, but both have their pros and cons (H1 is, in my opinion, visually nicer, but has a few extra details that could be annoying, while the H2 has angled pistons, which I could probably just steal from my K Class, but still, it's a bit tedious to set them up). But yeah, still tossing a few ideas around at this point.

If you wish I have Atlantic models. If you wish to use either of them feel free. The GNR Atlantic's looked similar to the H2

Quick, minor update - I botched the weight completely: it's now been fixed.

Killakanz has access to an A1X model, so you might want to liase with him, see what his plans are for it.

E1 sounds like a good idea, we need some more short-trip stuff so i can take off the loco's that i've had from 1860. thanks for doin' all of this!

I'm not sure what I'm doing next tbh. There's a few easy-ish options - an LBSCR H2 would be pretty easy, since most of the hard work has already been done with the K Class I released a while back. There's also the A1/A1X which is ap ossibility, but it's a bit more complicated than just downscaling this. If I'm feeling really lazy, I could do an E1 (which is basically this crossed with a C class).

I'm also trying to work on a carriage set to expand on the stroudley carriages I released ages ago, including a bogie set, but weirdly I'm having more difficulty with that than any of the engines I've made so far. Go figure. :P

Nice! Do you plan on doing the belle, or just steam? If you're doing just steam, can i suggest one of the 0-6-2s (Birch Grove? Class E4?) or the river class baltics? Thanks!

@patrick2160 Actually Oliver is based on the GWR 1400 Class 0-4-2T.

Hey I recoganize that configuration!! This is the same model that Oliver from Thomas the Tank Engine. So this was the basis for him.
Steve Emfore 2019 年 1 月 25 日 上午 5:53
You are providing a service! A beautiful little tank engine.
Norfolk_Chris 2019 年 1 月 25 日 上午 3:20
Thanks, another great loco!
