@Spralle-Kalle OHHHH I see :) it makes sense :) thank you very much..All the best :)
I haven't really looked at those numbers, to be honest, but I think the reduction effect gets the base value and reduces the percentage there, if that makes sense.

If your Empire Maintenance is 25%, and you get a 2% reduction, you won't get 23% Empire Maintenance, but 2% of 25% which is 0.5%, resulting in 24.5% Empire Maintenance.

I don't know if this is true, purely speculation from my part.
@Spralle-Kalle tnks :) I have been trying all that :) and i will try the mod, but can you be sure that when when the game tells that is going to reduce Emp Main by 1% .. is really doing that? because women level 4.. max.. should reduce by 1%.. and what i see is more like 0.1%.. tnks again :)
Well, there are many things as you say, such as generals, agents, buildings, and technology. But I think one of the largest culprits is the Imperium effects, which also increase Empire Maintenance.

If you would like to use it, I have mods that remove this penalty. Either this one which keeps expansionism, or this one which also removes expansionism. Both mods remove the maintenance penalty from the Imperium levels.
@Spralle-Kalle Hi there :) great work :).. can i ask a few questions? how do you control empire maintenance? because every city is about plus 5% and the women and library that are meant to decrease it by 1%to 4% only does 0.1% or 0.4%? why is the game lying? or am I missing something? I have generals that reduce empire maintenance by 6% ans still is not enough ...Help please!!!! Tnks and keep it up ( sorry for the English, i'm portuguese)

Hello! Yes, I was planning on updating it for 1.3.5.
Pedrolima_idfc 9 月 26 日 下午 12:29
Hello! Are you thinking of updating the mod after DEI openly releases v1.3.5 ?
Thank You!!

It works now.
if this one is still buggy

Hello, I have tried re-downloading the mod but its still showing the default values for me. I am playing as Rome and was part way through when the mod updated and my food and squalor suddenly changed. I am learning to mod this game so I've had a look into the Rome tables and it looks like the Rome ones may have reverted to the default.
I figured it out and it seems to work now. Let me know if you have any issues.
I've checked and it doesn't work like it should for some reason. The values are correct, and now Steam doesn't seem to recieve any updates I do.
Hello and thank you!

I didn't change any values for food production. The default DeI values for Roman and Hellenic fisheries are 4, 8, and 16. What faction are you playing as?

Taras starts as Epirus, right? Hellenic fisheries in large cities does start with squalor and should be removed in my mod. I can start the game to double-check it.
Hi there, firstly thanks for the mod, makes DEI much less frustrating while i learn all the different mechanics. I just wanted to check if you made any changes to port fisheries in your latest update? I've seen food produced dropped from 5, 10 etc. to 4, 8 etc.. also don't remember there being a squalor penalty for fisheries in cities like Taras.. I'm just checking if these are changes or if I've messed up my load order. Thanks again.

For me, most of the other mods I've found either reduce the challenge too much or barely help deal with this "issue" in DEI... I recently tested a lot & would say that your mod is quite balanced. Food production doesn't skyrocket & plagues can still be a problem without careful management.

Thank you for the great mod. :mhironcompany::Dossenus:
ok no worries
There are too many values to type here. I'd suggest going in the game and look if there is some specific value you are wondering about. I don't have the game installed, so I can't do it.
what are the values that dei is using now?
It doesn’t. To be honest, I don’t think this mod is necessary anymore. My other mod that edits the Imperium effects isn’t necessary anymore because the new values from the official updates are balanced and overall much better. I haven’t played and looked at the other values, but it seems like this mod isn’t needed as it was before.
Kira Yamato 2024
does this mod still work for the latest DEI?
is the effect rom_building_food_fishing amount the fishing port provides or is that one of the negative effects?
Thanks what's the best way of doing it for all buildings I use rusted pfm but which things do I import from dei pack?

As in for main settlement's and minor cities etc

one to my submod so I can make the changes I need to make.

As there is alot of stuff in building effects junctions table in the pack.

I normally do mods like this for Attila and Attila overhauls
Sure, go ahead!
Hi i am considering making a similar mod where all buildings food consumption is reduced and same for squalor penalties.

Can i use some of the work from this mod for it or would you be able to reduce negative effects more and do same for all buildings? I think that would not be a bad idea.

would i have permission to add it to my DEI compilation pack?
Solid
one of the germanic regions had this forgot name
could you make it so cities that produce sanitation bonuses have public order unrest removed?
as it says it increases happiness but then there is some penalty for upgrading which negates the bonus for public order
Both mods are now updated.
Jon 2022
can you link it as an external download?
Not really. I tried to update it on Steam and it won't upload for some reason. The update worked fine for me locally, but the upload won't work and I can't figure out why.
looks like the author just gave up.

awesome mode, ty bro
can u update this
I don't think it is compatible with the latest update, but I am going to update this and my other mod sometime soon.
I think you might need to update it because I see the negative effects to most of the factions. I have tested with multiple factions with no other mods as well. It would be great if you could update, your mod is the only thing which makes me still play Rome 2 with DEI
They may have done some update, I don't know since I haven't played in a while.

Yes, it works on saved games, that shouldn't be a problem.

I don't use a special mod manager, I just use the one with the game and enable it. If I remember correctly, a sub-mod is loaded before the main mod in Rome II for some reason.
hello, it does nothing! Does it work on saved games? should it be loaded before or after DEI base mod? Or where is the problem?
How about now? I noticed that Steam didn't get the latest update for some reason.
That is really wierd, I started the game just now to look and I don't have that penalty. I'll take a look in the mod and see if I can find something.
Yes, i was looking at the Roman village (olive oil), the fourth upgrade still gives -8 public order, but squalor is ok and its producing food. Maybe its supposed to to work like that
Hm, strange, it works for me. Does the building you're looking at have a food resource? Only those are changed. The squalor isn't changed if it produces anything else, for example metal.
Knusch 2019
i'm playing as rome
What faction are you playing as?
Knusch 2019
i think its not working on the main building in the settlement, it still gives squalor and minus public order
The mod is now updated and should work for all factions. If it doesn't, please let me know.
Muddyn 2019
doesnt seem to work anymore or am i doing something wrong
how about a half version with just the food producing buildings?
