Go to <steam install location>\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\1593301672\common\species_archetypes and replace the contents of extsynths_archetypes.txt with
"
PRINTER = {
inherit_trait_points_from = MACHINE
inherit_traits_from = { MACHINE ROBOT }
robotic = yes
}"
This will allow your pops to assemble as they should.
This is occurring on 3.0, we have modded origins active (modjam2020 ones that have been updated) but this has occurred with both modded and vanilla origins.
I suggest that you keep the Printers set to ALWAYS, but give them a random system.
Or, even better, MAKE YOUR OWN!
I've seen the Mod create a rare instance where two Printer nations showed up. One was the pre-scripted one I know and love and the other had no name. Also, do the Printers use a special star system? I'm curious because I've run into issues with the Solar System recently.

The printer shown is actually an "HP PageWide Pro 477dw Wireless Multifunction Colour Printer"
Thanks for the Mod!
If its unable to be fixed all i can say is let the AI play as them, its a fun compromise running into a fanatic purifying printer race ;) think of it as a early game crisis!
is there any possible way to fix this ?
