upgrade for newest version of game!!

Weird, the LCD doesn't show where the upgrades go and what they are like your other build the mx15e. Hey jranall, what the recommended upgrades ? because i try to use it in eden and the ship won't even turn on

Loved the MX5E. Hoping i enjoy this one as much too in about an hour lol. Love the ships brother. Don't stop because i'm building a cap ship next :) And then a cargo/ transport after.

Finally got the chance to check this out in creative mode today. What a cool design. I plan on modding this in to make it CPU compliant and to add some signals to the control panel. Maybe a few other tweaks as well once I get to actually test it out.

It's had it's RCS removed and downgraded thrusters to make it Alpha 11.5 T4 compliant ... and a new paint job to differentiate it a bit. I love all your designs and videos - I've learnt so much!

Your welcome, sorry to have given the impression it was not working, the game changes so much sometimes I am a bit behind in how the mechanics works, same with the new hacking by aliens, discovered simply use open ground, and lots of defenses against the ground troops, and take out the drone base as a first priority!

I figured out the issue, there was none, shield will not show up in statistics, and it has to be activated via the devices then it starts uploading the fuel needed, takes a couple minutes to fill, the problem was I was only looking in the statistics area! I discovered this when I built a CV and seemed to have the same issue till I looked in devices!

I tried two things first was validating the game files, did that a few days ago, it did not fix it, I just tried removing the pentaxid tank, put in a fresh one created in constructor it showed up, then added the shield, visibly its there, but in inventory main and statistics no show!!

Appreciate it, I could try replacing the pentaxid tank cannot hurt, will let you know how it works, or it might be something in the blue print I cannot fix!

@nomad5454, Thanks. That is strange. I am wondering if do to it's age, that maybe you have to replace the pentaxid tank too? IDK thou. Very strange issue. I will try to check that out too. Thanks again!

I have used this ship previously, cannot figure out why the shield is able to be visibly installed but does not show in devices, nor does it show in main, a little puzzled!

I like this ship but when I install a SV shield it does not appear in statistics under defense and it does not appear to be active in main inventory

Thanks bself23! The closest I have that is bigger to this is the MX14. It does have two cockpits, but the inside one is just for 3rd person flight and is really safe compared to the front on. Well, it was at the time, but now with shields and the better cockpits, not sure if it is needed anymore. Thanks again!

By far my favorite SV you have made. I only wish it was a bit bigger. I seen the other Sv you have thats alot like this one but larger, but i dont like the dual cockpit of it. If it werent for that alone, i would say thats my all time fav lol.

Well "J" i have had the time today to play around with creative mode and since the Shield unit is small for SV's i did some playing around with this ship and mounted it and gave it a ventral drone hatch as well!

I just never seem to have enough room on these or have to screw up the looks a bunch to get one put in. I am thinking about a design something like the MXR that could work thou. @jrandall I love this ship - cockpit view is a bit narrow but it's an understandable trade-off for protection. At this point I'm considering installing an internal pilot seat so that I can exit into the cabin. The one thing that would really make this even better, would be a ventral drone hatch so I could salvage, service my miners, and other scut tasks without leaving the (considerable) safety of the vessel.

@Legion I agree! Most of my craft are jrandall ships and they're always my first choice.

Most of my subs seem to be towards Jrandall's work. Definitely one of the best content creators in the community!

So, I want it to finalize first before trying to work thou a lot of it now. Some of the older creations I wanted to update with newer items, sensors), and tweak random things, maybe new paint jobs. Btw I like the idea that you can acces from the cargo area in to the cockpit. But a hatch from on top of the sv to the cargo would be nice

@jrandall I was just rereading that comment from a while back and if you want I have a command bunker I was working on but never finished that is massive. It is mostily finished just needing a handful more rooms and I think I did most of the detailing. You can have the blueprint if you want as I will likely never finish it and it would get more exposure with you anyways.

@Neuticles, that is cool! I am really curious how it turns out. Personally I don't normally (all but one time) done things this way myself. I mean I certainly am a fan of all kinds of designs out there, some sci-art, movie ships etc. But what I do is try to figure out what I like about a design. Flow, shape, certain features, etc. And then I try to come up with a rough design in my head, like a very general shape or groups of shapes. From there, I try to build out 3d body lines using single rows of blocks or angled blocks kind of like a wire frame. Then lots of tweaking, fitting parts, changes, coming up with some kind of solution to merge two areas together. The side effect to this is, the end result most of time comes out to be something totally different than I had in mind. lol Look cool so far and a very cool and interesting design to start with.

I took the advice you gave to another poster. I found a low res picture of a ship and instead of trying to remake it, I built the shape of it. After that, I worked on trying to make it into a good looking ship. It's alot more work than doing the other way, but I think I'm coming up with a unique ship. I don't mind, but I'll probably delete it. I built that from the ground up, but I did steal a lot of your designs and added to it. Modded was probably the wrong word. I'm still a little angry that Steam or Empyrion blocked me from commenting on builds. I've never said anything wrong, except maybe linking original builds to someone's page that just reposted them. I swore the game off after that, but time has a way of making you feel a little childish for doing it. I wanted to get the idea of having a 2-way ship out to the great builders to see if they think it's a good idea. I've been having trouble making a ship look great flying either way. I had been working on that front end and I loved your design, so I just finished the ship with your ideas. I think your front end looks better, but I was trying to make something that took heavy frontal damage.

Thanks Ronin94. I agree with most everything you said. The MXR was kind of a test for a future Merc-MX10 or bigger. As in big bases or space stations (or really big things in general) Yeah, someday I do want to build something that is way past class 10 in size. I am reluctant because I know it would get reduced use and how long it would take to build something like that. But I do plan on doing something like that anyway. With my free time available I could see that as a 2-3 month project. So, I want to but also am scared too. lol. In the next week I should have quite a few new things out. I been reluctant as well as many other authors at this time to release anything at all as there is a very hostile neg rating campaign going on to a lot of authors including myself. It is not stopping me from making new stuff, I just been holding off releasing pending responses from steam support tickets about the issue. Thanks again!

@jrandall the ONLY thing about it is it could use more guns but no one uses more than 4 types at a time anyways so it is still one of my favorites. It is defintely up there with the Nemesis and MX18. I would love to see you revisit the Sanctum Installation and give it much better over all turret covrage and just more features over all. Another thing I would love to see is some type of fleet command HQ station WAY BIGGER than anything else you have built almost in the relm of Siege's Nexus Station, something that is difinitively the biggist thing you will ever build.

I like this thing a lot it is almost a carrier portable version of the MX18 if you put a cockpit inside it.
