UPDATE: Kind of doing a massive batch of updates, so please see here for information: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/discussions/18446744073709551615/1681441347871087327/?appid=446800

UPDATE: Okay, so I've done a complete once-over of the model and made a number of minor, but significant changes to the model itself, and I've changed the textures considerably as well in order to make it less shiny and generally more visually appealling.

I've also added a placeable asset version, as well as an alternate livery loosely based aroudn the SR Blue-Black livery, which is also tintable. I've kept the livery slightly generic in order to fit the BR era as well. Images of the new model are above.

UPDATE: Quick quality control pass; cleaning up the folder, using dds files to reduce file size and making some changes to the tender model.

@gr1m unfortunatly i cannot remember and i cannot check because it seems to be working now for some reason, ....but it was a missing file giving a lua error, if it happens again i will let you know
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [
@Tony Spike what's the precise error? I'll look into it.
Tony Spike 2018
this one gives me a lua error dude it wont load up
Steve Emfore 2018
Could I gain permission to use the tender model featured here (and hopefully too, the textures) to apply to my 4-4-2 Atlantic mod to create a LBSCR H2 Atlantic? Credit will be given as a creator.

On the flipside, if you wish to use my Atlantic model and apply your tender and texture, please do.

@Bocaan This is not Edwards Class He is not even from the same region of Britain Railway wise and this is a 2-6-0 not a 4-4-0 Which edward is a 4-4-0 you could make the argument that it is james class but james is from the L&YR Which is in the same region as Edward [Just pointing it out]
Bocaan 2018
ooooooh edward's class from TTTE finally made :) well might have to see about doing a reskin or something if its allowed anyway can i ask for an E2 from the same company sometime please would be awesome!

UPDATE: Another fix, just to resolve some tinting/aging and alignment bugs I noticed on the cabin.
Nicely done, I'm gonna enjoy using this one
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [
Also I'll probably make it available as a placable asset (as well as my other released mods) once I figure out an icon for it. >.>

UPDATE: I've just uploaded an updated version with a few minor tweaks to fix some issues that I noticed. The new model will sit a bit higher so the buffers are flush with (hopefully) most carriages now, and I've slightly increased the size of some of the wheels (as well as adjusted the brakepads and wheel covers to match) and fixed an animation bug where it was 'jumping' at the end of a cycle back to the origin point. You probably won't notice the differences unless you look for them, but I thought I'd make note of it anyway.

Stunning. Amazing to see how far you have progressed so quickly! I absolutely love the tender model.
Im using blender myself....Though. I am not as advanced as you yet but your MOD is most definitly an inspiration..
been away from the game for a few days. come back and find this little stunner. thank you very much
A Guy Called Pi 2018
There's been an absolute TON of early steam locomotives made lately, but this is definitely one of the best ones. Thanks a lot!
Amazing, mate! Have you thought about doing a L&YR design, or a N.E.R. one?
Brilliant thank you
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [
@captain403 Couldn't agree more - most of my current mods have been around that area so far, in fact, but I really want to do an express passenger engine from that period. It's just a matter of finding the right one that 'grabs' me.
@gr1m, 19th century british loco's seem to be very hard to come by for TPF, so the more the merrier. Though I have to drop a hint that one from 1860-70's would be just the bee's knees.
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [
@Scar and Captain403: I'm already shortlisting my next model and it'll be another 19th century engine. Basically my selection process at the moment is a combination of a) whether I find them visually interesting, b) whether I think there's a place for them in-game or a niche to be filled, and c) if I think my modelling skills are capable of capturing the design.

I've also had a shortlist of future projects that's about 10 items long ever since my first model release, so the backlog's already out of hand, hah. >.>
DPT Wanderer 2018
@captain403 however the class was powerful as well i saw a photograph of one of the class taking a LONG train compared to some of the other engines of the time and it was a coal train at that might be more prototypical to use the 4-4-0 or a 0-6-0 but regarding power i think it was aside from the GNR and another company that i forgot the name of which also ordered american locomotives of the 2-6-0 configuration at the time [due to a strike/backlog] the american built 2-6-0s that were in britain at the time were powerful and about 10 were built of the 2511 30 of the 2501 so they wernt prototypes but temporary replacements to fill a gap in motive power
lovely! nice pregrouping class
@Scar, oh, I'm not disputing their existance (though the size of them surprises me), I'm just suggesting that a 4-4-0 or 0-6-0 would be more prototypical for Midland.
DPT Wanderer 2018
and there is the fact that the MR had bogies on their tenders of the 2510 class [which unfortionatly did not have a long life being non standard]
DPT Wanderer 2018
@captain403 if you don't believe me on it being small [which moguls were primarily small compared to pacifics and such] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midland_Railway_2511_Class
DPT Wanderer 2018
not to mention the 2511 class was basically a more british version of the 2501
DPT Wanderer 2018
yes but the 2501 was Small compared to other engines and it was built in the next to last year of the 19th century
@Scar, A 4-4-0 would be better for a Midland loco. They had a 'small engine' policy. Most of their late 19th century fleet seems to have been either 4-4-0 or 0-6-0.
DPT Wanderer 2018
if you wish to try your hand at bogies try the 2501 at it [that was built with bogies BY baldwin locomotive works]
DPT Wanderer 2018
very nice! However i must ask have you considered making a GNR or MR Mogul specifically the 2516 or 2501 class on the Midland Side? [still in the 19th century but almost at the end of it on the midland side]
Warren Lipton 2018
Very nice, thank you!
@gr1m, This is a great loco. The only thing missing is the ability to use it as an asset, ala JK's models.
@JK, the reversed is in the multi-unit tab.
Good work. If you wanted to improve it further, a custom whistle really adds a lot. A screenshot of it pulling your coaches would be cool. The description mentions reversed version, which doesn't seem to be applicable on this one. Hope you'll do more in the future.
Very nice
Wow! As one of your first 3D models, that really does look fantastic! :D Excellent job and I can't wait to see what it looks like on the rails! Thanks for sharing, keep up the great work!
