As for the gift opening, this is unfortunate side effect of the fact, that drops cannot have different icons. So while hotkeys will work on the "NPC gifts" (since those are a single item with varying names and icons), it won't work on drops unless Terra changes the core a bit :)
Also yeah, cake gun ic OP. But you only get cake instead of ink, so .... your choice :)
Ad pennable pinata - I will consider it, but I need to figure out a downside since candy is very OP and this limits the rate you can obtain it at.
Ad secret message - this one would be the first. Then there is the famous one about eating cake :)
And thanks for the typo report!
Also the gifts do not REPLACE the original loot, they drop IN ADDITION to it, so you don't have to worry about losing any loot with this mod on, you can only gain more!
The only reason I ask is because I don't want any enemies in future areas to drop gifts instead of whatever they're supposed to drop.
