I just realized that the reason it works on all of my PCs is that they recognize japanese character coding and the script I used as a base for this was japanese, so the error actually is the plugin's fault. Gonna update it when I can, meanwhile just follow the procedure when needed

Alright I got the same problem with another plugin so I did some digging around and found a solution since apparently this is not a completely uncommon problem with plugins in general on this program.

- First create a new text document
- Open the js file in notepad
- Click SaveAs and then at the bottom it says coding (I assume that's what it says in english), from there pick Unicode.
- Then save it over the old jsfile

That's how I got it to work finally, thanks @gapogalassia for your patience in trying to help. I still dunno what exactly it is that caused it not to work, but I'm so glad it does it finally, will definitely be putting this plugin to good use ;)

I'll test the plugin asap when I have access to my pc, meanwhile other questions time:
1) do you have any other plugin that may interfere with this? If yes, try deactivating all other plugins and check what happens
2) in the folder script, go to attack -> attack_commonbattle.js
Open that file and search for BattleMusicControl. If you don't see anything, it's possible there's an error in the files or some change between srpg studio version
3) try it in another new project, to be sure (even if the one you're trying is clean)

@capogalassia I put it in the Plugin folder, I do not claim to know how programming works, but I figured that's where you put all the custom plugins. I remove the "$" symbol from the name of the plugin and then I get that message whenever I try to launch my project.

Yeah, I found the music part of the engine a bit lacking too ;_;
At least, the script is understandable enough even without javascript knowledge

I just messed around with this program for a couple of hours but i already notice that this was a problem.
Is a pretty good solution, but not the ideal. The software should have a command that says "force unit battle theme" or something, and it should have been on the vanilla software, Srpg Studio lack many commands. Thank you for your work tho.

@Expa this is weird, BattleMusicControl should be defined in any new project. In which folder did you put the script?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't get it to work. Whenever I try to launch a project with the plugin in effect it says something like: "Line 1 Battle music control hasn't been defined".

Oh, cool! I was wonder how this would interact and it's good to see something to change that up, thanks!
