@skelly555 - You can generally right-click an asset and go to 'Custom' to get direct links to used images and such. But you're right, tables and backgrounds are a bit harder. But in fact, the table background is simply the PMD: Blue/Red Rescue Team world map. You can get it on the Spriter's Resource here: https://www.spriters-resource.com/game_boy_advance/pokemonmysterydungeonredrescueteam/asset/81435/ (All we did was scale it up a great deal to make it clear and sharp for the table.)

How does one get a copy of the main tabletop background to print for in person game?

@tanoshichannel: No, I'm sorry; we originally made this for our own Pokerole game which started at the time of the version of the older version gamebook that's on the table. As such, the table was built around that version. (Though homebrewing off of that has been something we've adapted to doing since.)

Though, it would likely be possible to simply import scans of the newer rulebook and replace the one on table with that. Or simply remove the table's rulebook and share the pdf of the new version with your group; there's nothing that strictly demands the pdf be on the table itself.

All of the elements on table should still work with the newer ruleset, I believe. With the possible exception of the character sheets. But...we can't actually update those even if we had the time to. They were custom-made by Violaceous, but...sadly, he has since passed away.

Out of curiosity will the rulebooks be updated to the newest ones? My friends and I just came across this and had a hard time with the combat till we found the updated book online. Other than that the rest of our game went by smoothly and as a DM I am glad that the dungeons are random instead of needing me to make a whole map.

@benjamin - It's definitely annoying to maintain the table when some of the resources rely on other sources. You can find MOST Pokemon models here now: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=947696302 (I say 'most', because some of the models are unfortunately broken; the table-maker also would need to fix that on their end. I am not responsible for the models, I simply link to their work.) As for the 2D Pokemon Tokens, I suppose you'll have to look them up around the workshop; if the original source is gone then I wouldn't know an alternative source.

The Dungeon Tiles are just meant to be placed manually, yes. Of course, the DM can simply shuffle the bag first so they don't know what they are drawing beforehand.

i'm trying to learn pokerole and this table specifically (also new to TTS), and i do love the potential it holds. however, i have been encountering some - albeit minor - issues as i've been learning, such as loading 3D pokemon models. the tinyurl link contained within the Read Me on the table is outdated; can i get models, or even 2D tokens, any other way?

also, how does dungeon generation work? is it up to the storyteller to manually place each tile on the playmat freehand? thanks!

@ChromePon3 - We had a bunch of snap points on the playfield at one point but we learned they could cause some issues and get in the way, so I removed all but a center one for playfield placement. I recommend placing dungeon tiles manually, but you can also add snap points back in yourself if you really want them by using this tool: https://i.imgur.com/h99Hb3K.png

I'm having a trouble with the snapping on the dungeon playfield. It only snaps to the center, and not all over the playfield. Is there anything I can do about this?

@slot79 - Technically 2.0 is basically a different game, so it wouldn't translate very well. But you could always homebrew in individual 2.0 material (pokemon stats, new moves, new items) as you need them. Keep in mind that you can always right click an item I've made such as a move card, hit 'Custom', and then check the links to access the core images I use for such cards. Then you can just edit them into new cards. :3

So do we Home Rule gens 8 and 9 or update the module for 2.0 and only homebrew gen 9?

This is an absolutely fantastic collection. I've beentaking some time to really learn the system in homes of DMing some good pokerole stuff for friends, and honestly, this is just a lifesaver! Having a physical table in front of us helps so much, and while sometimes I get a bit confused (I'm still learning how to handle things like checks and rolls!), that's not any fault of the board creator. Having this hear opens up the whole pokeworld!

@Orvetes Nova is correct. Basically, TTS has a hard limit on the number of 'states' (aka pages, in this case) an item can have. The Core Book was so large that I had to split it up into several items, as it hits the max state limit like four times over. The book is all there, it's just split up. :>

@Orvetes, all of it's there. You pull the rest of the book out of those Poke Dex things.

how does leveling work with this now with the 2.0 pokeroll core book for gen 8 pokemon?

That's weird. I see what you mean. My Pokerole server still exists and with the same invite link technically active, but it isn't working. I wonder if Discord itself is having issues with invite links?

oh nevermind, i figured it out. just gotta load the PTU models into the game seperately. didn't know you could do multiple mods at the same time.

hm, it took me a bit to figure out how the pokedex worked but that was me being dumb and accidentally breaking it (somehow managed to delete Shuffle and States so i couldn't "turn" pages). we can do galar pokemon by referencing the pdfs. but uh. how on earth do you spawn the pokemon models? i've been watching your youtube list and cannot figure it out. is there a wee guide somewhere for how to use the mod?

@Bear - I believe I got those from Pokemon Trozei, check The Spriter's Resource for its sprites.

@Arnyx - Honestly I accidentally broke that function on the last update and haven't had the energy to fix it. I'd argue it's more fun to arrange pieces freely anyways, such as placing a tile a half-step off of another to make more interesting room shapes.
