From notes above and gameplay I know it is compatible with Religion Expanded
Any chance you could confirm compatibility with other popular mods please, ex:
Real Great People (UI)
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=900089445
District Expansion: Worship
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2337885119
Magnum Opus - Great Person Adjustments

Hey i've added a list here of potential great believers i would like to see in the game!
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1799508183
Hi Kerrovitarr, we plan to take a look at the believers after GS. We just have not had the time yet.
Diocletian should give a bit more (maybe percentile) faith from pillaging cause yelds have been buffed in GS.
Ramanuja should be reworked cause floodplains no longer block any placement for any civs in GS.
You have not seen religious units "fighting in real life" because there's not such thing as "unit" in real life. The game abstracts things. There are thousands of real life scenarios of various religious schools fighting each other's influence over people.
If time accepts it - and i know time can be harsh at times (no pun intended) - i would kindly ask you too, could you maybe take over his work? Its sadto see modders and their work perish; and especially their work has to be kept in some way...
Tenskwatawa (Shawnee)
Seekaboo (Shawnee), an acolyte of Tenskwatawa
Neolin (Lenape)
Wovoka (Paiute)
Kennekuk (Kickapoo)
Hillis Hadjo (Coushatta), influenced by Seekaboo
Ghost Dance (Wovoka) deviated from this a little, but pretty much all of them preached back-to-your-roots anti-settler stuff in the late 18th early 19th centuries, if that helps with brainstorming for mechanics
I also manually add all the tier 2 holy site buildings to your mod, so perhaps I missed a closing bracket or something.
I like this mod, and i want to play in my natal language. I don't sppeak a good english but i can understrand it. If you wan't, i can translate if in french if you send me the a file text. Ad me in steam if you want, and i send you my e-mail adress. :)
Thanks for this mod. :)
Hi denis_byls, this seems like a Steam issue rather than a problem with this mod. I'm not sure why Steam is not letting you download. I can send you a dropbox link to the mod if you are willing to drop it in your Mods folder yourself.
Here's some screenshots, no faith generation, killed only city state 1 unit.

Here passive from Amakusa Shiro shows like a powerup to my warriors, while he isn't here.

We plan to improve some bonuses, including that of Wiborada. Those improvements will be in the next update of the mod which will also include at least two new great believers.
Here's some feedback on current version.
Why only shine generate believer points? I think, temples and worship buildings are more suitable for generation points, than shrines.
Oracle doesn't add believer points.
Wiborada's great writing should gain more faith or something in addition to faith to be competitive with other great writings.
Amakusa Shirou: A Japanese Catholic-Rebel who rebelled against the Tokugawa Shogunate in the Shimabura rebellions. Many Japanese Catholics today desire him to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church. Either:
- Instantly creates a warrior monk with 2x level ups
- Instantly recruits Partisans/Barbarians wherever he's activated.
INDUSTRIAL:
William Miller: One of the primary voices during the Second Great Awakening in the United States, whose fire and brimstone teachings would later go on to found the Adventist movement, and propheczed the return of Jesus in 1844.
-Increases one cities faith output by a certain percentage.
ATOMIC:
John Frum: The name of an American Soldier who caused an infamous cargo-cult to spring up in Vanautu of which I think he could:
- Your religion has increased pressure on city-states by a certain percentage.
Hassan-i Sabbah: The founder of the Hashashin (AKA Origin of the word Assassins) and an immense devotee of Nizari Ismalli, a psuedo-offshoot of Shia Islam. Assassins known for being hyper devoted to their leader and their cause. So one thing you could add for him is either:
- Passive combat buff to units he's attached too (his men's devotion and zealotry to his cause)
- Instantly creates a fort/culture bomb ALA the Civ 5 Great General Feature (the fortress of Alamut which lasted until the Mongols decimated it)
-Allows the creation of a spy slot, even before you can get one if you can afford him. All Spies have an increased chance of success of assassinating governors as if they all had that level up perk.
- Allows spies to be created with a spy slot and they can be purchased with faith.
Giving you a good late game advantage in the Religion game.
CLASSICAL ERA:
Himiko: A Shaman Queen who is mentioned leading a nation called Yamatai in ancient Chinese Trade Manifests. Important figure in early Shinto. Either:
- Allows Holy Site Buildings to be bought with Faith
- Grants a free Governor Title
- Grants a free Trade Route Slot
-
Actions that could be taken by Julian might include building a temple or repairing a pillaged temple in a city. The action taken might generate a burst of faith. Also, it could generate the effect of an apostle Proselytizer charge in the city. Julian could have two charges.
Hope this helps.
I can also add few ideas for abilities:
All relics provide +1 amenity and creates relic.
City religious pressure is same as from holy city.
+7 combat strength arround Great Believer (Medieval units only).
Districts provide +1 faith or +1 appropriate yield.
Specialist provide +1faith or Priests provide additional +2 faith.
Standard or Mayor adjacency bonus from Holy Sites.
Convert all citizens in an adjacent city (1 or 2 charges).
We plan to look at the way we're keeping items from being purchasable to see if there is a better way to go about things. In the meantime, all I can tell you is that this will not happen in the absence of certain mod combinations. I am not sure what mod you have that is interacting.
also, i have something weird happening in my game. i have absolutely no idea what it is. but it happens with another mod as well; HOWEVER not with all mods adding buildings - what happens is that i can purchase the bodhi tree at the start of the game for faith. and the cost for that are somewhere at !!! -20000 !!!
which basically gives me the building for free and then 20k faith at the same time, i just need to build a city.
its not like this with all mods, just with two (this mod, as said, being one of them). i have no idea of coding at all and therefore have no idea where that weird thing could come from.
the other buildings are not built by great people, they are wonders.
if that is a weird - but not game crashing - mod conflict, i cant tell what mod might cause it. i have over 100 mods active xD
