Great Believers

This mod adds a new great person type and city project and great believers to the game. Great believers become available after you build a Holy site and a shrine. Great believer points accumulate from owning shrines and performing Holy Meditation projects (you can choose these the same way you select any city project).

There are eleven great believers including:

Classical Era

Diocletian: Pillaging an opponent's improvements (farms, mines) yields 5 faith, pillaging a district gives 10

Andrew the Apostle: +1 faith for every boat over fish in all cities.

Sanghamitta: Creates 2 missionaries, and plants a Bodhi tree sapling in a city center (+3 faith)

Medieval Era

Xuanzang: Grants 2 envoys and creates the Relic of Xuanzang in a city center (+3 faith)

Wiborada: Provides the Golden Psalter of St. Gallen (a work of writing, +7 faith)

Khadija Bint Khuwaylid: Reduces the cost of shrines and temples by 50%

Augustine of Canterbury: Instantly creates an apostle (you need a religion for him to make an apostle)

Hilda of Whitby: Creates the Ammonite of St. Hilda in a city center (+7 faith)

Hasan-i Sabbah: Creates the Alamut Castle (+4 defense, +6 turns fortification) that culture bombs nearby tiles when placed

Ramanuja: Builds the Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srigangam in a city center (+2 faith), a wonder that allows this city to build districts and wonders on floodplains

Renaissance Era

Amakusa Shiro: Passive ability - faith equal to 25% of the strength of each enemy unit killed within two tiles. Activated - creates a warrior monk with 1 promotion (3 uses)

Each great believer has a Civilopedia entry and a picture that will appear in place of the generic game icon if you have the Real Great People mod by infixio installed (this mod is not required for the Great Believers mod to work). City center projects provide an icon (not a mesh). Many of the AIs love them, and they can get snapped up pretty fast.

We're open to adding more great believers, (as long as they are respectful of others' beliefs) if you have ideas for one.
