Another nice shunting scenario - Thanks RB! Didn't find any cows but I did see a couple of yellow scooters :steamhappy::steamsalty:

I do get busy at times and forget to save and BAM! UGH! :)
I've learned to do a save at the start of each step, so I can retry it, in case I encounter another error.
Thats just a glitch, save and reboot or clear cache will fix it.

When I backup up to the second switcher, at 2 mph, it acted like I'd rammed it. Speed jumped to 10 mph at moment of contact, trains leaped into the air, scenario ended. I had been at 8 mph maybe switcher lengths away, but quickly slowed down. I redid, creeping in at 1 mph, and was fine. Other couplings in this scenario seemed okay.

An excellent run RB! Enjoyed the tour of the yards, so many cars, kept things interesting. But the moves were not that difficult, thanks for that. Love this scenery, very well done; as is this scenario. Thanks for creating and sharing!

Thanks and welcome Rammy. :) Gonna be a busy series.

Excellent Start to the Scenario and the Switching, there is so much Stock in the Yards it really gives it an Excellent Atmostphere. Thank You.

Hi, I noticed the end wagon was half way over the points, so I tried what I thought would most likely cause a derailment as the other end of the wagon hit the points blade.
But low and behold it did not derail and I was able to couple up to the Caboose.
This great scenario is now complete. :steamhappy:
Now to part 3 and Hartford.
Yes, when I stopped with the loco just past the stopping point and checked the route to the Caboose line I noticed the route did not clear beyond that crossover once the timer had ended. So I thought perhaps I had stopped too soon, so I continued along the track until the last wagon/truck had gone beyond both the Gantry signal and the Ground signal. But still to no avail.
I have since wondered that maybe I should have stopped a little earlier in the first place, so as I was still stopping the crossover from moving?
I will try again from my last save.
Are you clearing the switch and signal?
Hi RBJ, not sure what has gone wrong, but I have got as far as stopping before reversing to pick up the caboose, but the crossover to the line on my left {as I face forward} remains switched the wrong way and as soon as I propelled towards the Caboose track my train derailed. :steamfacepalm:
