Just found out today, in friggen 2023, that this mod also offers wall-mounted music players. Kinda sad there's no way to purchase those rare drops anywhere yet, because that would be my 47th replay of this game and just nowadays did I ever got the first one. I'm suspecting huge mods like Frackin' Universe, Elithain Races, Shellguard and the like are making those numbers even rarer than intended.

2: Starbound doesn't have any ways to change hairstlyes in-game (even through mods), and I didn't really want to encourage people to just start new games to use the hairstyles. Even if you alter your character's save data to use the new hairstyles, you would still have to add in the fourth shade's color code manually or you'd face some uncolored hair bits. (This is provided that I don't remove the hair shiny bits.)

For a bit I've actually been kinda playing around with a mod that improves (not replaces) all vanilla hairs and adds a fourth shade to make them look shiny and clean. But you'd still have to modify your character file or start a new game to get the benefits, since each character that spawned would also need to be given the updated hair colors.

Most of this junk could be avoided if Chucklefish didn't restrict changes like hair color or style to the character creation menu.

@InMind02 - There's actually a few reasons I have yet to do this:

1: The hairstyles in my mod actually utilize 4 shades, where the vanilla character creation hair only supports 3 shades. So I'd have to edit all of the shiny bits out of the hairstyles to make them vanilla-compatible. So, kind of a bummer as a compromise.

Maveriknight - Not sure I've ever encountered this issue. Make sure it's just this mod you're having troubles with, not sure what it could be.

PLEASE make the hairstyles available in the character creation menu. Sick of not being able to wear hats and still have the styles.

this mod's got some good content in it, but it seems to cause my client to just freeze up periodically and stay that way for a minute or two before resuming responding. not sure why.

It should be, it may crash the first time you start your game but after that I believe there will be no problems.

Is it safe to uninstall?

@baiju - I dunno what the issue is! Maybe some type of compatibility issue with another mod, but I doubt it -- I only patch files, I don't replace them. So, I'm not totally sure.

I would love to try this mod, but it seems like it causes problems with my character creation screen and makes it unusable. Hope this gets fixed in the future as endless amounts of vanity is always fun.

Uh, looks like you forgot to remove the charactercreation.png. At least it was easy to figure out what was messing with the character creation screen.

@MegaMato - Oh shoot, I totally didn't consider that being an issue. I'll revert the changes to the creation screen. I can't really do anything about that because the load order is important. Character extenders probably load before my mod, therefore mine overrides the ones added by the modded ones.

If I may make a request, in the "interface" file, "charactercreation.png" conflicts with other character extenders. Is there something you can do about that?

i love this mod but i noticed that female sprite of mouzu skirt has some random pixels above the haracters head in a swimming animation and proper top has fixed skin color on right arm

@Drgnwra1th - HOUND Vouchers should currently be unobtainable by normal means, and will likely be a way of obtaining rare items such as vehicles.

What is the 'HOUND Voucher' and where do you use it?

@vumnulx - They are intentionally rare, I need to find an acceptable way to make them craftable that doesn't seem too contrived. Will probably come in the next update.

i use FU and so far it seems perfectly fine, but i have never seen any of the vehicles in all of my play, so there might be somethin there, but i might just be unlucky af

Not sure, I don't use FU. However, I don't change any core files, and I don't believe I have any conflicting item names, so I imagine it will work with FU.
