Heyas, I played the Avian intro from this, and I rather enjoy it. I was wondering, how lore accurate are these intros?

you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

I'd like this more if it also changed the Human mission, I'm trying to find a mod that does, do you know of any?

I just tried it, and floran mission works just fine. One-Worm, you probably have an incompatible mod

I'm trying to get through the floran mission, and when i pick up the matter manipulator and start searching, it tells me to pick up the matter manipulator again but i can't since i already have it and I can't progress.

@Shr00mer try the "You Are Not A Protector" mod. It alters her dialogue to this effect

are there any changes to Esther Bright's dialogue that goes along the lines of 'oh, you have a matter manipulator, you're a protector then?' because it seems like changing it to something like 'you're the first person to answer my messages, I think you're the one' would make a lot more sense after establishing that not all player characters are protectors would make a lot more sense.

These are great intros! Unfortunately, if using Frackin' Universe, this mod seems to negate any FU race-specific starting upgrades to the Matter Manipulator. I tested with and without this mod, and it definitely appears to be this one.

if i uninstall this will my normal characters (that i made before i got the mod) be fine?

so I can have this with FU but the other species added in FU won't have their unique intros?

@TheEbonHawke It's FU compatible. For what that means to racial compatibility I do not know, however I do know there are no patches to get the custom intros to work with custom races. You could go and add the files to a race, but I don't know how to do that.

Amazing mod!

Seems to be broken right now, at the end of the mission (when you get the MM) the game sends you to the ship, removes all items collected during the phase of the intro, and SAIL cannot be activated.
COULD be an issue with another mod that I have, but i don't think I have any mods that affect the intro.

Wait, that's just it! I'll try clearing my universe files, but keep this mod in mind as a possible cause.
Basically, I can boot up the game and make characters, but if I try to start the game with a character, it'll CTD.

@Vel : You would have to install/uninstall this mod whenever you want to do either the standard intro or the custom intro. Or you would make a minimod to toggle at character creation which... into... to use...

the wii music was added from Syphists Song Pack

I think this mod may have a problem (possibly a compatibility issue with FU) with not giving the player campfire food recipes from the start (such as steak, or baked potatoes) so I'll have to use the default intro for now until this is fixed (a real shame)

Apex mission has the word terrorism misspelled as "terroism" in one of the speech boxes. Might want to correct it.

Quick suggestion: there's an item in the default intro, the Torn Protectorate Cape, that isn't present in this mod's racial intros. Maybe include it somewhere.

I'm so glad to see this. Back in I think Beta, the races had unique intros (although they were purely cutscenes), and I was pretty disappointed when they replaced that.

This has the potential to immerse players into the game so much sooner. it's beautiful.

The Apex intro is glitched. After reaching the ship and the the cutscene finishes, I find myself still standing next to the ship.

Floran intro be makin me cry in the club

This mod is pretty cool, but I would like to point out one thing.
The Glitch are not a hivemind, they already think for themselves, they're simply Artificial Inteligence. The "defects" simply become entirely self-aware. They are not executed, just pitied and shunned.
Just something you might want to consider changing.

What helmet is the glitch who saves you wearing?

I really love these and this made new characters so much more interesting now, but would there be a way to add the ripped banner cape but with different dialogue like the flower?

Is this like a remake of the old intros from the alphas? I miss those, even though I didn't get to play them!
