This mod has not aged well and is one of my earliest works. Eventually I'll update all of them to my new standards, but since this is a 2008 Call of Duty model, I only have so much to work with.

probably you wont update this mod anymore nevertheless i just like to point out the world model is older than me. it looks really bad like a plastic toy with hexagon scope, the rifle doesnt have a hole at the tip of its barrel to save kids not to shoot each other i guess. you have even created an extra sound mod, i mean cmon arisaka deserves better. anyways regards! modders like you convert gaming experience into superb joy

I've just updated the sound mod.

There is no incendiary firing sound in the sound addon, I haven't uploaded an update yet.

This mod is old, so I might need to speed up the reload animation.

when that has the fire ammunition it sounds as if it were the original scout again
and I think the reload animation is a bit slow

Yes, I am aware of the chrysanthemum (spelling?) symbol. Most of the surviving rifles had them ruined, so those with the symbol remianing are more desireable. Never really noticed its lack in MP, though, as I didn't play multiplayer much.

The Imperial Seal that was on these rifles was removed by soldiers after the war to to preserve the Emperor's honor or something. In WaW, the seal is found on the campaign model, but not the multiplayer model, as so when a German, Russian, or American soldier uses it, they are not in possession of the Emperor's property. Idk I thought that was interesting to share, nice work.

@Tavros, balancing reasons. If there were a sniper rifle reloaded via a clip, nobody would use any others.

I never understood why they use the 1 bullet at a time reload method on this weapon in WAW since the scope is positioned to where you could load a clip in.

@Hidaka, explaining things like that from time to time make me wish I had enough dedication to create a guide or two. Still, unpacking-repacking addons is a useful skill you should try and learn.

@Hidaka, well, if you really want a 15-round rifle reloaded with 5-round clips, you could familiarize yourself with GCFscape (for opening VPK files), export the mod, and edit a few lines in the script (the default values are provided in the description). Then drag and drop the mod folder onto the vpk.exe (or its shortcut) and - presto, you have your own personal edition of the mod.

how can i download the non script version? i have no exp in modding

@LCPD, you can use any sound addon you like as there's no sound in the mod.

I recommend subscribing to the "Professional Scope: Traditional" mod by Red Schism. It'll give this rifle that extra bit of WW2 authenticity!

Вах, а где же анимацию для него взять? Я создавать/портировать анимацию не умею пока. Есть шанс, что Tootti или Chtulhu сделают что-то подобное.

@Arima, I cannot animate or edit animations yet. Just remember that these are CSO2 anims ported by Rex, which had originally no melee or running animations.

the melee and run should be more dynamic

@Malicious Mender, only if it's without a scope, or if I convince the guy who ported the CoD4 M40 to share his anims. I also don't really want, but with time I may as well get back to this.
