I really like this map but what is so out dated about it?

Hi all! I've started work on a new version of this map (and i'll also try to put out a coloublind version with it too). I was hoping to have it finished after the weekend (just gone), so hopefuly it'll be uploaded in the next few days!

I can't guarantee anything at the moment, as my schedule is constantly changing, but i've pencilled in working on this map for next weekend (19th/20th).
There is an airforce show coming up that I need to make stuff for, so I can't promise.
But that is the schedule anyway :)
It'll only be for this map mod though, no work will be done on my other mod.. yet :)

(i also like this map a lot) im just waiting on a update but dont feel pushed my schedule is a total nightmare at the moment working and finding a new job at same time theres so many workforce reqeust that my phone and mail keeps being activated for someone. i never had this happen to me hopefully i find a new job soon and normal times so i can atleast enjoy kenshi again

Thanks Rohzdear. I did see a new one a couple of days ago that looks pretty good. Perhaps you could try that one in the mean time.

It's the only map mod that I find functional, unibtrusive AND good-looking of the several there are in the Workshop.

if the borders and text was red or white i think it could be easier to read.

if anyone could, i'd love a version with bolder lettering and borders, so i don't have to zoom in to read and see the borders.

I'm overloaded with things to do at the monent, haven't even been able to game for months!

You are absolutely welcome to try it yourself. I'm also happy to give you any files I have on my end left from making the map, or the border files.
You could either upload a new image to me, and I can update the mod,
or you are welcome to start your own mod using this content too.

Can you just take the map and make the areas left to map in bright yellow or something? I'd be willing to help with that.

Yeah, and to get the borders correct, I have to manually walk along the edges in-game and map them. Doesn't take TOO long.. I got the borders of the map above in about a day.
Really I like this games potential most. I see it as being close to limitless (if the devs can improve the editor a little more!), so when I look at the game (which is already pretty good) I just see it's limitless potential, and want to take it there!

Sweet! Spoons, what is it you like about this game the most? Also I'm guessing to update this you would have to travel to those lands?

Sorry all! I forgot to mention something here (instead mentioning it on the main mod), but I've had to put all mod work on hold, as I'm working on some rocketry in real life!
I will eventually get back to Kenshi modding, but it's not going to be any time soon.

My partner and I rent a house, so sometimes the landlord aranges to inspect the house to make sure it's clean. So we have to clean up for a day or 2.

Hi all, just a quick update, yesterday we found out we are having a house inspection in a few days! The new map was scheduled to be ready by roughly the 6th US time (7th here in Aus), but will probably be delayed by 2 to 3 days now.

Awesome! This is by far my favorite map mod so I'm glad it's getting updated.

I will be yes, and releasing a colourblind version.
I've only just finally had enough time to start a new game myself to explore the new area though.
So it's likely going to take a week or so.

Are you updating this map for the new south east corner?

Just the text is hard to read? What about land features etc?

It's a matter of contrast. In certain areas, the color is too close to the background color for colorblind people. I appreciate the reply.

I'm very busy with my other mod at the moment, but once I update this map to better express the last quarter of the map, i'll make a colourblind one :)

I know I am in the really small minority here, but it is hard for me to see the region text on the map because I am colorblind. Would it be possible to make one with higher contrast for the text? This map looks great by the way!
