Now we need some mods that replace the ships with ones from the game. Might not be compatible with the upgrade system, but who needs upgrades when you can travel the universe in one of those glorious beasts of ships?

I have no clue if this is possible, but is there a way you could make the back of the bike into a small chest? The sprite looks as if it would have one, but it doesn't. It would be really badass if you could!

@ironkoldo As far as I know, there's no vanilla vehicle or tutorial you can use as a reference, I just had to create a custom lua file based off the hoverbike. For getting the vehicle to look at the mouse, try:

local diff = world.distance(vehicle.aimPosition("drivingSeat"), mcontroller.position())
local angle = math.atan(diff[2] * self.facingDirection, diff[1] * self.facingDirection)
mcontroller.setRotation(angle)

If that works then you'd have a few more problems you can fix by unpacking my mod and looking through the code.

IIRC, the functions you'd need would be in dragonfly.lua, called moveZeroG(), verticalCalc() and animate().
One thing to note is that for using rotation control like I did, I found it easier to force one horizontal facing direction and instead flip the vehicle vertically.

If I'm an idiot and there is something that already does this but much simpler, then ignore me and go use that as a reference instead.

Hi djdazstar23, this ship is awesome! I'm triyng to make a mod of a space vehicle, and I wanted to do it with that same kind of movement in space, the ship rotation following the mouse. Do you know any tutorial that explain it? Or any vanilla vehicle?

Love this mod. But i think the vehicle should cost more money, such as 35000 or 40000 pixels, it's good enough to cost that price.

@*Yuki* Thanks, you're right, I probably went overboard on the flat visuals, but it was the look I was going for. Seeing the Dragonfly in the PTU and in the concept art, it's got a very flat colour. It looks like it has a matte finish, but it could just be the lighting.
