Please add every half life overwatch announcement from half life 2 to half life alyx. If you do this I would also like to ask that you add city 24's map announcements. Would be nice to see.

Yeah, you can play custom sounds through the console command "playsound".

I doubt that would work for RP like you say though. The addon works by executing the console command "play" on all players.

i really wish there is because it could be a great RP Feature with proximity voice chat addon installed, since the addon affects the voice communication and breaks everything else.
so this addon is the only thing that will work at the moment.

It can only play one sound at a time. That's just how Source works with these things. No changing the volume either.

Sort of. Those aren't soundscapes as they are in the engine. Soundscapes are text files with references to lots and lots of individual sounds that play at given intervals and in a given space. Re-writing all that in Lua is way too much work, and playing soundscapes on their own doesn't seem possible. At least as far as I remember it.

I really wanted to do that, actually. It doesn't seem to be possible though. I believe soundscapes are set by the map and can't be changed from there.

That's not possible, unfortunately. Ambience (soundscapes) can only be placed by map makers.

If you're an admin, then yes, everyone will hear the sounds played.
