if you talk of removing the mod, save the files of worlds and spacestation you wish to keep from the universe folder in '(Steam folder)\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage', then get to the ship and close the game and empty the universe folder and unsub from the mod befour starting the game up. on getting back to your ship, it'll be flying in space as the game builds universe files again. as worlds and spacestations that fit the saved files you saved come in, leave the ship to get the worlds or spacestation's file, then back to the ship. go to the universe folder, find the new file and copy paste it's name to the file of the world you wish to have it's place, then replace the new file with the old file and the world or spacestation you know will load in.

i know i know. a run around way to do it, but it works for me.

good idea to back things up BEFOUR starting, so if you goof, you have the back if needed, or if you wish to return to the mod.

a value of 1 would be 333x the stars, or one star at every single possible coordinate, so values above 1 would do nothing

it would also be more than 3x as laggy as the existing 100x version so yeaahhh

What would happen at setting 1? 2? 10? ...100?

Apologies about your dead computer, but that's your fault, as it was clearly quite the toaster. And no, once the stars are generated, they're here to stay, so either abandon that character and avoid that area of the universe or just get yourself a new universe :)

is there a way to make the 100x one work like a mod or something that can help cause i can play its just when i start a new player it makes my ship fly for ever im for real left my pc runing it for 3 days ;-; never landed on a planet so i wus stuck in orbit for soo long ;~: i had to just quit i have a gameing pc and it dosent create lag for me i just wunt to have more plannets to explore ;w;

im able to handle x10... my freezing and lag actually comes from the some 100+ mods i have for the game lol. but there is no way in hell ill be able to explore even a screens worth of stars by the time ive pretty much completed everything XD

I avoided the 33x and 100x versions and tried out this one - starbound is giving me a connection timeout because the star generation takes too long. Will try slightly starrier instead.

oof, so many stars indeed. my game freezes everytime.

i like this mod. but still, it is quite problematic that the star interface cannot zoom in which result 80% of the star that near you remain unexplored. plus the lag. what mod below this one? below 10x stars. something like 3x or 2x. anything?? :v

id have to question those who use the x33 and x100... cause it fills your screen with a ton of dots, 95% percent of which your not gonna explore XD

There. All of the "IT'S FULL OF STARS" mods along with Slightly Starrier (2.33x stars) are now in the featured collection "Star Generation Mods." This should hopefully raise awareness of the other options available!

I would try it...but the issue is that my game is already very laggy. It might be the ammount of mods I have, I'm not sure, but then again it might not be. The mods are kind of helpful though. Mostly in the sence that it's easieer to get resorces, but still.

You should try out this mod, then. 2.33x more stars; I've used it myself and haven't experienced much lag.

Ahem. This is getting out of hand. To clear things up: There is no cussing in the mod description. I don't care what you say. This mod also has no religious connections; the mod name is a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Apparently the moment someone says the word "god" that instantly makes it a religious subject and if I say "Oh my god" that it's cussing?

Sure, Steam may be based in the US, but I think it's you who need to re-read the Constitution. You can say what you want, but that doesn't mean that I have to put up with it. And since my game is laggy as it is already, I decided not to use this but to comment, and everybody started yelling at me telling me I'm stupid, I'm a troll, and to keep religion out of here. Nope! Your universe will simply go back to generating stars the old way. All stars generated while using this mod will stay where they are.
