What's your mod list?

Interesting Crash: The mod worked great for one play through. Now, it crashes every time I try to play as Nod. Not sure why it work once and never again. Hope this info helps the mod maker.

I'll keep this in mind next time I update this mod. I'd need more changes and fixes to justify an update though - I'm not making an entirely new version of a mod just to add one letter (and updating mods is dangerous and I recommend against doing it, fun fact)

BTW, I'm playing through as your Nod empire, and letting you know that you misspelled one of the spy names. It's meant to be "Maychek", not "Maycheck"

I understand. Still would be worth doing if you ever made universal versions of your C&C civs. If you do decide to do something like that, you should absolutely add some of the names and ideas from the Mental Omega and Twisted Insurrection mods for Red Alert 2 and Tib Sun respectively. (Doesn't have to be UA/UU/UBs from the mods, but perhaps that could be used to help name cities and spies)

For the city names suggestion, this Civilization is more about representing the Brotherhood of Nod's Tiberian Sun depiction, hence why it strictly uses only Tiberian Sun as its source material. Nothing from Tiberian Dawn or Tiberium Wars, and since this mod is also more about the Nod faction at face value rather than its mysterious origins and history, I personally don't think including biblical locations in its city name list would really fit that theme.

As for changing the Civilization's insignia to some sort of vector art, it would definitely look nicer if I did that (the triangular Nod logo does not translate well to a circular icon) but if I did that it just wouldn't be the same faction insignia used in Tiberian Sun itself which was the idea I was going for.

Oh, and also maybe have some more proper vector art for the empire's insignia.

Old mod, but I do think that the capital should be "The Land of Nod" (as that's where the name derives from), with the city names all being either important to Nod in the canon (I.E. Sarajevo, Cairo, Alexandria, Ayers Rock, etc.) or named after biblical locations (Sodom, Gomorrah, Nazareth, Garden of Eden, etc.)

@Sick Puppy Temple Prime is the Nod headquarters in Command & Conquer 3, whereas this mod was created with more of a focus on the Tiberian Sun iteration of the Brotherhood of Nod. It was a creative choice to not include Temple Prime as a city name, as that's a Tiberium Wars thing.

And hey, if it bugs you that much you can always just rename your capital to Temple Prime.

The capital should be called Temple Prime. At least read a bit of the C&C wiki.

As for the future plans - I've got a bunch of Civs in development now that I got back into modding after a five-month break, but I haven't had any time to work on them recently. It's a long story.

I'll find time, though. New Civs are coming.

Any updates or further plans for any civs based on those in Generals/Zero-Hour? I'd be especially interested in civs based on the Chinese and/or GLA generals. Is there any way to contribute?

It might work to take a picture of Cabal himself to use for the Civ insignia, but that could result in some confusion. I did that once before though with the CivCiv and things kind of turned out fine.

Ahhh, well the only icon that may come as close to cabal's icon would be the mark of kane's fraction icon. If that dosn't work we may have to improvse.

I think that was supposed to be Westwood's version of the Scrin logo before they got bought out. That's not CABAL at all.

I didn't plan on it, as that would be a little tricky. (Cabal doesn't have an insignia like the GDI eagle and the Scorpion tail, for example) But if you've got some ideas, go right ahead.

Curious but do you plan on doing a CABAL civ? would love to share some ideas

I won't be specific as to what I'm working on right now, but my short list for mods is filled to the brim with five new Civilizations and several new unique unit ideas, and after those, I've got possibly even 30 to 40 more mods planned. (I really like this game and basically want to add everything and the kitchen sink into it.) I will say that four of those mods are indeed Tiberian Dawn versions of GDI and Nod, as well as Red Alert 1 versions of the Allies and Soviets, but for the moment, I'm not working on them right now. They're coming though, I assure you.

Thanks for doing this, I really love this mod! As somoene who loves CnC this has really made Civ5 that much more fun.

I would ask if you have any future modding plans you might be willing to reveal - say, TD versions of GDI or Nod, Yuri, scrin?

No plans for anything like that unfortunately. I also dont' have the Future Worlds mod, if that's what you're referring to.

I love this mod, any plans to do anything special for this civ in regards to Future worlds? Like say i dunno...cyborg reapers?
