After 7 years of not doing it, I would say he doesn't have the interest to redo the mod. Try visiting his website, there's a link in his text above, below the line that says "Standard version... ". You'll find a working version there.

that is really unfortunate about your hard drive but can you not update make a new version that isn't corrupted?

Suggest you contact the mod author by email. He doesn't support the mod here anymore, but does host an updated version on his website. (URL is listed in the mod description above.) He will respond to an email eventually and would probably allow you to work on an update.

@nicholasreiley779 If you have downloaded the correct version (1.40(b)), have you put it into your local mods folder, then activated it in ATS Mod Manager? It doesn't install automatically, you have to unzip it and put the SCS file in your mods folder, start the game and go to your Mod Manager to activate the mod before you can see the modded parts for the Peterbilt. If you aren't seeing anything, it sounds like you haven't done the above steps first. If you have done all that and still can't see the modded parts, you might have a mod conflict. Try moving the Peterbilt mod to a higher priority on your mods list to see if that helps. I have been using the mod for months with no problems, even after ATS received a big update, recently.

@GearJammer i downloaded the mod you said to download and it doesnt work. whenever i try to customize the truck nothing is there

@LarryA It could be that you downloaded the wrong version from the author's website. There are two versions posted there and I know the newer version works because I'm using it with no issues. If it happens that you did get the correct version, there could be a conflict with another mod at your end. What I know is that it works for me.

@ELiry00 Where did you download the mod from? If you subscribed to it on Steam, that version is outdated. Use the link above (Standard non-Steam Workshop version) and download it from the author's website. There's a link to an updated version there.

Is this the only mod for 389 customization? Textures are all messed up sad it is abandoned.

@EthanGee96 When installing the mod you have to extract the zip file and in the extracted folder is the scs file that you will then put in your mod folder.

@EthanGee96 It should be a straightforward process, once you enable the mod in Mod Manager. There are alternate cabs & frames, plus many options for exhausts & other accessories. If you aren't seeing any of that, something is interfering with the mod. Or, your player level isn't high enough to allow the upgrades to appear in the workshop. The mod creator says that his accessories are available at or slightly above the equivalent level of the original options in the game. I am at a high enough level to see everything in the mod and don't know what player level is required before the mod upgrades appear. That's about all I can suggest.

Hi @GearJammer, I've downloaded the mod from the link as advised by you, enabled it in Mod manager but when i go to customise my 389 in the workshop there's no extra options for customisation? Just the normal Vanilla mods, Am i missing something?

NOTE ABOUT THIS MOD: You have to follow the link above. Standard (non-Steam version). It will take you to the mod author's website. At the very bottom of the page, on his website, there are three links. Use the middle link (DOWNLOAD Version 1.40b (17.9MB)) and you will get a functional version of the mod. It will NOT be updated on Steam. The author has said this in his comments above and people aren't reading that. He is not updating the Steam version but there is a functional version if you follow the link as I explained in this post.

@treywilliams999 If you're using the mod that's posted here, it hasn't been updated for some time; there are files missing that are required since ATS 1.50 was released. Follow the link in the mod author's post, above. The non-Steam version has been updated but you have to download and install it yourself.

Can this mod be updated to include whale tails and allowing headache racks on any Semi chassis it seams some wont let you have them.

@stormlow The mod creator has a website that's included in the information above. The mod has been updated but he is only hosting it on his site. It works now but will not be updated here.

lol im working on a peterbilt 389 and all i need is a turbo wing and i some window tint and this mod has it all but its no longer working
