It's especially infuriating when it happens when you just subjugate someone to be your vassal, and the game automatically declares peace on them first, and applies the reliability penalty.
If anyone knows of a mod that does that I would be much obliged.
I just tested removing and adding this mod mid-save on a fresh campaign that ran for four turns and one on a campaign from december I didn't think would load at all, no crashes on load or at end-turn after diplo actions, although obviously that's not testing every possible interaction.
Thats not an issue with this mod its a standard vanilla bug. I've had it happen without any mods running. The cause seems to be if you end up having broken 'too many' treaties in a row in a few turns which causes the rating to be stuck at the lowest reputation regardless of how many turns you wait. At least thats how long it lasted for that 170 turn campaign, with the rating first dropping that low after turn 20.
I can tell you that only breaking deals before the grace period is over and declaring war on people you have deals with matters, capturing settlements and other stuff generally doesn't. Other factions delcaring war on you shouldn't matter beyond it ally fuckery.
If you want to download DAVE (hover over library in steam, go to tools) you can look at it yourself with about as much of an idea as I have. The tables are cai_diplomacy_complex_treacheries and _simple_treacheries.
Example i've just captured 10 settlements AND built the black pyramid and i'm still unreliable.
Do other factions declaring war on me set me evne further back?
