Well doesn't this mod only affect playable characters? This would technically mean it only boosts you.
i am going to say "Determination" but im not sure if everyone would appreciate me saying so.
then give them battle-strategy, advanced knowledge within the field of technological design and creation. Aswell as having the ability to efficiently start an amazing civilization with space-faring ships and skyscrapers. Aswell as school, writing, reading and drawing.
VVVVV
Seems almost like, racist towards fictional races.
Humans are endangered now? That puts a dampener on my plans
Thanks! I just have a real softspot for media that portays humans as something other than "the normal ones."
Thanks for creating a more subtle racial abilities mod, it's something that's been missing from Starbound for a while, and all the other modders seem to go a little overboard with this sort of thing.
What everyone else is saying about humans being really tough is true too, although I don't see why the other races wouldn't share these advantages. Maybe give the humans elemental resistances to represent the diverse climates of their homeworld? (Since it’s pretty clearly established that the other races have a solid preference for a specific environment.) They do, however, have a pretty solid emotional toughness to them. After all, the loss of Earth wasn't just a cultural loss - if you pay attention to the lore, they lost a solid 90% of their population. Or possibly more, since they reclassified themselves as an endangered species. And yet, they still have some of the most cheerful and goofy quotes in the game.
…..
Sorry. I went a little fanboy there. I’m done now.
Actually, in Starbound, humans do have something unique about them. They're an entertainment culture. Proven by one quote humans have about the USCM Penal Colony Panel: "Prisoners are only allowed a maximum of thirty video games at one time. Talk about oppressive." Yet, if a hylotl inspects the same item they mention FRIGGIN' WATER BOARDING!
There's also a lot of interesting bits about humanity in the codex entry Human Census: Report. Including the information that humans are naturally adventurous, and it isn't uncommon for them to spend periods of their life living nomadically. However, due to the intense isolation, there are extremely few humans that choose to make a permanent home away from earth. After all, the largest recorded human colony had less than twenty inhabitants.
