Hi, i managed to partially fix it, at least the journals in physical containers seems to work as intended.

1. The script calls a function that don't exists in this build, ..:doLoad(), i just deleted it hoping for the best.
2. Fixed the control structure in SJRender() function.

Just copy (overwrite) this file to the respective mod folder.

Note: the "alive" zeds will never spawn with journals, the script use OnFillContainer event, seems that the zombie's inventory isn't handled by this event call.

Perhaps you could find someone willing to create a Project Zomboid mod on consignment (pay)? I do know that there are several people who offer to make RimWorld mods on consignment. And considering how popular Project Zomboid is, I would not be surprised of there's at least one or two willing to work on consignment. I'm not sure how you'd find them, though. Perhaps on Discord or the forum?

Sad to see the mod is not currently updated. This would be great addition to game.Hopefully @tobyfox2002 You will be able to find someone to work on this with you.

My issue is, the person who I had who was gonna handle the coding side... hasn't been around. I am really good with the writing side and have a fair number of notes to sprinkle around but no way to truly implement it.

BTW: Have you considered looking at "Azakaela's Survivor Notes" that mod is a lot like this one and it also sounds broken and abandoned.

I am working with a mod creator to create a new version of this with three sub-mods. One for generic journals, one for 1-year later, 5-years later, and 10-years later.

I am not a mod creator, I am a writer. So fear not, this will rise again!

Many References changed over the Year´s (this had it´s last update 2017...) and will pretty much need a rewrite to work properly with 41.7x+ onward.
Better to just forget about it and move on.

As I said before, this Mod no longer works. The Survivor Journal has only ONE written page, and the rest of the Survival Journal is blank.

Okay, I have attempted to reproduce Madman Andre's bug, and I have discovered that it is true. ONLY the first page of the Survivor Journal has writing on it. Everything else is blank.

This mod doesn't appear to function as intended. In B41/IWBUMS, the journals do spawn. However, only the first page appears to have written text, while the rest of the notebook remains blank. I'm also getting errors related to the mod in console.

Just wanted to report that the mod still seems to work with build 41. I get some errors as I find journals already written though, nothing that seems to kill the game though.

There's no menu to change them. You'd have to edit the file itself, there's a divider for container spawns and another for zombie spawns.

No plans for translations, sorry :/ The text uses placeholders to assemble the sentences and they'd change from language to language, including grammar, suffixes and such, so it'd be too complicated.

Simple but it feels important as a mod, it makes the world more 'real' if you will. Good immersion mod.

It's compatible with saved games. Drawers and lockers you have looked at already won't have any journals, but zombies will still drop them (about 1 in 200 currently).
