Is there any way to stop it from auto-equipping when loading in? My game crashed a few times because I tried to use sprint hat (previously equipped) but the kaiju hat equipped over it upon loading in and gave me a script error because it tried to activate both hat abilities at once.

I can't confirm, but I think this idea was referneced in a small comic involving a giant Hat Kid chasing and hugging tiny, terrified Mafia.

I think this mod is the opposite of the Mouse Headband mod, which makes you tiny.

Aparently a new update broke the mod, I just reuploaded the hat so try it again after downloading the fix to see if it's working now.

You mean the one from Majora's? Yeah I can make it a flair, at the same time I don't mind if someone else wants to add that mask separately with my code though since I'm focusing on hats you can't rip from games.

This totally should've been the Giant's Mask from Ocarina of Time. Maybe make it a flair whenever the feature for it comes out?
