Thats the thing, Warriors of Chaos looks to NOT be a horde faction in Warhammer 3.

They will own Settlements, this has been confirmed.

Hopefully CA puts in an anti-colonization mechanic for them in WHIII, then. When I play horde factions I like to take one settlement in a large area and lay the rest to waste.

Sorry no, its beyond my skillset currently.

On the bright side we're only 2-3 months away from Warhammer 3 where WoC can just occupy settlements themselves!

Though we most likely won't be able to play them until Immortal Empires releases.

Have you implemented some kind of blood ground style mechanic for the WoC? Without the capability to block the AI from recolonizing, I feel it is an entirely lost cause to play the WoC. My campaigns are dampened when Elector C*nt number 3 follows me around recolonizing every damn ruin I leave behind. This is why I use SFO because they built a blood ground anti-recolonization mechanic into their newest mod update.

Yes, that was the intention.

At most its an attempt to make WoC a bit closer to how a later DLC race would be, though to be fair ive not messed with their base mechanics that much so they still play very much like they would without this mod.

You just have slightly more units, more techs, and some hopefully more choices as to which starting lord you pick though even i still think Archaeon is probably the best.

The only thing that comes to mind is that you have a script mod of some kind being spooky for you.

Any mod like "instant quest battles" or some such can and have messed up quests for me in the past.

Do a check of any mod that sounds like they use scripts and try turning them off, most of the time the quest will fire if given a turn with offending mod off.

Worst case scenario though you need to restart the campaign.

After finishing the first quest of slayer of kings with archaon, the next quest wont show up, as well as the other quest

Sounds like a mod conflict aye, they most likely have their own techs and that does screw with the techs both ways.

Sadly i do not use that mod, so my only real advice is to either turn my or their mod off.

Thx man. The tech tree in my version is shorter and confused with lot of empty cells. i also have the ultimate chaos mod and a few more running, wich use division of the 4 gods. so i can locate the problem further and with ur help i can tell at this point, that the
ULTIMATE CHAOS MOD
causes most of this confusion.

I have noticed that when using the Chaos Dwarfs mod this mod seems to add stuff for chaos dwarfs as well. is that supposed to happen?

You basically get 0% upkeep forces eventually, and razing/sacking will give 10-20k Favour every time mid game, so 100k is really nothing.

Its to force those techs into more of a mid and late game role, but they also give far more than vanilla.

And that should fix the Chaos Metal Sorcerer issue, i had it set to Norscan Metal sorcerers, whoops.

I also buffed Mark of Khorne, it is now functionally Frenzy ++, instead of +8 melee attack and +15% base damage increase it now does +10 melee attack and +15% base and ap damage.

hey some feedback, the removal of upkeep discounts on settlements makes life miserable for chaos. While enemy factions get 3 or 4 armies , I get to field just one . Bring back lightning strike skill , without it the game is unplayable.

So far everything seems like its working well, except I noticed that my Metal sorcerors don't have the God choices, while the Fire one I recruited does. Happened to two metal sorcs in a row.

Yeah some weeks ago I've tested this alone and it didn't display the new faction perks on the characters screen.

Now that I'm going to do a Chaos campaign I'll test it again.

Honestly at this point i have no idea, it seems to be working for everyone else myself included.

But try:

Make sure both launchers are clear (no mods loaded) so you're only using one of them to launch the mod. Preferably KMM.

Delete the .pack file from your data folder and have it manually re-download.


Worst case scenario either try checking local files for warhammer or reinstall the whole game.. honestly i get if you do NOT want to do that over a single mod however.

Even tried to run Chaos Rising by itself, with NO other mods enabled. Tried starting a game as Archaon. Still no luck. Not sure what the issue is.

@Gejnor Well I downloaded Kaedrins Mod Manager, have it successfully unzipped and it starts up and displays all my mods just fine. However Chaos Rising still isnt working for me. :/

@Not a NHP ( is that a Lancer RPG reference?) I have done as asked, it was a slip-up on my part, i also added the Marauder Hunters (both variants) to the Ranged (Hellcannons and Marauder Horsemen) Rank 7 skill.

@thelybithian It should've honestly worked, it was updated..? It's updated again now, give it another try? If not maybe check out the 3rd party Mod Launcher instead of CA's rather poor one?

It is called "Kaedrins Mod Manager" and is in use by.. well nearly everyone who play this game.

unit_set_to_unit_junctions_tables doesn't have an entry to allow Norscan Berserkers to benefit from any of the gold chevron skills, would you be up for adding them to the wh2_dlc11_chs_vets_marauders_aspiring_champions_forsaken_chaos_warriors_chosen category?

@Gejnor Hi there! Absolutely love the mod. It is exactly what Chaos needed in this game. However the mod manager gives it a green check, but when I enable the mod it does not work ever since the Taurox expansion. Any idea when we'll be getting an update? :steamhappy:

@... Do you use any other mods alongside this? Maybe it's a conflict between them.

Also, it's good to make a backup save everytime before you add mods which make big changes for factions.

I would like to mention this mod is not save game compatible. It bugged my save so i cant play it anymore.
