Really enjoyable, especially in manual firing mode. One thing that would improve it would be a return working

Thanks Bill. I realy would recormend Manual firing. you will have alot more steam to play with and much more spirted assent :) If you use the hud its easy. just the 2 buttons. Keep your water at 75%-80% and your fire around the same ,just remeber to open the the dampers by holding M :)

Navigator, its all in the reverser. but it is a slow slog. you only need small ajustments to the reverser. play with it between 30% and 40%. watch your speed , if its increaseing slowly your about right :)

I struggled keeping speed up but enjoyed the challange will be returning to improve my skills.

Ok...The big event in Wales is Welsh Rugby...especially playing (and in the 50/60s beating) England. The "Arms Park" (now "Millenium Stadium") is in Cardiff 20 miles down the track from Porth. Most Rhondda men would be desperate to go for the day and come back late evening well oiled. A special would have been put on. Also another would come down from Treherbert so the two rakes would/could link/split at Porth or there would be a vital connection.. Internationals usually winter...but the All Blacks (a fabled fixture) could be spring/autumn. Maerdy is the Rhondda Fach...Teherbert in Rohondda Fawr gorming a Y shape at Porth with leg going south to Cardiff) Hope that helps. Certainly scope for double heading out of Porth either uphill or down to Cardiff ?

Zappay...FANTASTIC! So atmospheric (especially Porth to Tylorstown)...and so many firsts...Pannier, Snow, starting position. No problem with sticking signal. One point .. pannier tans weren't "visitors" to the Rhondda...they were the bread and butter engine with probably 20 times more of them in South Wales Valleys than in Cornwall. I think Porth would have seen a lot more of them than J94s or Taffys in the 50/60's. So looking forward to your next one...Trip to the Arms Park for Rugby International. ..join a rake at Porth? I throughly enjoyed this scenario.It is the first time that I have climbed the branch with a steam engine with some "balls" about it, completing the climb in double figures for most of the way.Cannot wait for your next Merdy branch scenario.Well done.
