i spent way too long making the npcdrops and it dosent even work

i honestly think you should add a search menu and all that like zippys group spawner to make it eazier to get the entities and such

The npc ids can differ from the one when you rightclick-copy. For example in that mod when I copy the zombine torso it copies as 'npc_headcrabzombinetorso_soldier' but when it's actually spawned you can see on the console it spawns as 'npc_zombie_torso'.
You have to put the second one when you are creating npcdrops. That means it's not possible to have drops for different kind of zombies provided by that mod. npcDrops doesn't support that right now.

Because you are putting the model and not an entity name in there. Use execute lua and 'spawn prop in front'

I've enjoyed this mod over the years, but there seems to be an issue with spawning props as entities to drop, regardless of the NPC type. I need NPCs to drop props to assist in seamless gameplay featuring a crafting system. Here's the error:

Hope that there will be an update to make it work with more than just the vanilla NPCs at some point.

Is there any way to make an NPC drop multiple of the same item? NPCs can drop two different items, but if I want somebody to drop 2 AR2 Energy Balls, the NPC will only drop 1. Is there any workaround for this?

only works in npcs that i kill

I know a few others have asked this, but is there any way to assign unique drops to unique variants of NPCs, like elites and shotgun soldiers? It looks like they're all listed as npc_combine_s, and I can't find any way to give the unique variants specific drop lists.

I've used this mod in the past, and I have no idea why this is no longer functional, but I cannot pull up the GUI through the !npcdrops chat command anymore.

atrick21, thats basically the source engine problem, this is the code for these three variants combines, and linkz, try use no npc drops with this mod, the only what you choose will drop.

Is there an option to make specific item drops for the different combine? because whenever I put npc_combine_s the item drops for all three combine npcs but I want to make the items specific for each.

I'd really like the option to enable or disable multiple drops. They are almost like a pinata now.

Is there a way to like...import and export different configs? Like, you make a config where a bunch of zombies and combines and other NPCs all can drop weapons ammo etc, then you move that config elsewhere and make a new config which has them only drop healing items, and be able to change between configs by importing and exporting/cutting and pasting the configs.
(That would be a good thing to add if you ever remake this and it isn't already there.)

is there a way to quickly add multiple drops to an npc? like a copy and paste or something? this works great, but gets slightly tedious when i have to make 5 replica drops for like 7 different npcs. I wanted to ask if theres a way to edit drops while in the files, cuz you can copy paste there, but i couldnt find npcDrops in the data folder, where i assumed it was

@zerozephyrum drops you create are saved, so yeah, no need to do every server start.

if i put a example, combine elite to drop battery, he will drop in every server i start without need to config? if this work like that this will help alot

anyway to make it so that it applies the chance on anything dying instead of a specific npc? would love that to not have to spawn ammo when i run out/start with obscene amounts

While I find myself coming back to this addon once in awhile god I wish there was a way to copy drops from one NPC to another.
