ep1c_g@m3r! since I haven't found out what could be wrong there and no one else reported this error, I'm assuming that there probably is a mod conflict of some sorts. If you were to activate my mod again, without other mods, and that still happens, then definitely shoot me another message, because then this diagnosis is probably wrong and I made a mistake somewhere.

ChrissTheBurnedOne MEIOU doesn't work on my potato PC, so even if I were to create a fork of this mod, I'd have no way of testing stuff out. Sorry.

maybe you get asked this a lot, but would you consider making a Meiou and Taxes version of this mod ?
It is fully compatible, but because M&T uses population instead of developpement, the "Empire level" modifiers trigger way too early in my opinion, an example would be, when i played as Byzantium, i had the "The One Empire" modifier by the time i reconquered Anatolia, which is a bit off putting, considering "The One Empire" modifier, i would imagine would have to emcompass the Entire Europe. Just a suggestion and thanks

I just error 004 after reloading a previous save which also had an error 304 rigt behind it with no button it to click

It only happend one time so far. My mouse was not technically over anything when popped up. It literally fired the instant my save had fully loaded and I was lookin over my country (Austria). My sudden crash was probably not caused by your mod, though it is possible. I'm running my game with a lot of outdated mods that have not updated since the CoC dlc and 1.23 update came out

Augustus Dragunov probably not, they change A LOT of values in the defines.lua, and even if it would 'technically work', the values and mechanics will probably not mesh well.

The amount of Disease outbreak and unrest events I'm getting is literally unbearable. You should tone them down.

Everything has upsides and downsides.

It is for you to decide what you value more.

E.g. for the military reforms, if you play a big country and are starved for manpower, its probably more important to get manpower instead of forcelimit.

On the other hand, if you are a small country, it can be very beneficial to sacrifice manpower to get a bigger forcelimit to be able to beat a big army.

The higher the MIL value of the ruler is, the better the reforms are, too.
At 6 there are reforms with only minor downsides.

and by the way, these reforms like on your 1st screen, they give more debuff than buff, which makes their meaningless. 1 debuff on the cost of infantry and 1 buff on their combat abiliity, and 2 more debuffs, the result is 2x1. Don't you think so?

This is a little bit strange, that after i get 100% Religious Unity for Lithuania, which is more Orthodox, than Catholic country - i aslo get that debuff to "High R.U." too.
It would be nice if you could fix it.

@Arquin if you play in America you can still reform your religion until the Europeans show up or just migrate around and plunder other nations (you'll need the El Dorado DLC for that though, I believe)

I really like this a lot but I think the cumulative negative modifiers (Institution embracement cost for example) make playing an uncivilized country a bit too hard. You get punished too much which leads to 100 years of nothing!

Is it realistic? Yeah, I suppose, but I would also like something to do in the meanwhile.

It is possible, but I would have to edit the institution file and add an additional modifier for every single institution.

This would destroy any compatibility with other mods that change institutions even slightly.

I'd rather be able to combine my mod with any other mod and be sure that it is compatible, though.

could you make it so that the higher values (5 and 6) can give a little bit of base institution spread in the capital, not modifier, like, if you have 5 dip or higher you capital gets +.05 montlhy for renaissance once it spawns

You can look up the conditions for triggered modifiers by clicking on the triggered modifiers button on the bottom right. You need to embrace the renaissance to colonize.

how do i lose the anoying "content" modifier since i want to colonize (im playing as aztec and i only have a few more countries to kill)

They get a -20% forcelimit, manpower and tax modifier, since the emperor gets its share.

Also, they lose one diplomatic slot and gain +0.25 yearly prestige and +5% institution spread.

The malus is halved and the bonus doubled for electors.

@entspannung, no no I totally appreciate the wall of text. It carries your point across. You got me for a second there haha. I'm glad your mod forces Ming to implode almost instantly every game I've played, but the culture modifier makes sense!

@GermanSoviet since history has shown that the Dutch are incapable of building up a world wide colonial empire many times bigger than their homelands, I modeled this fact as historically accurate as possible.

I kid, I kid. The "Culture" modifier is your expansion level. It progresses from "Tribe" to "Society" to "Culture" to "High Culture" etc. up to "Eternal Empire" and models the different challenges at different empire sizes.

The smaller a country is, the bigger the malus to settler growth, since you simply do not have the amount of people to throw at colonies as e.g. the Spanish or the English.

If you acquire more land, you'll colonize more quickly, but you'll get bigger maluses of other kinds, like increased stability cost and global unrest.

@ChrissTheBurnedOne what is the name of that triggered modifier? Do you run other mods besides this one? Because there should be only 3 modifiers changing monthly war exhaustion: Having more than 15 war exhaustion, having more than 100% overextension, and simply being at war.

@Entspannung one of the Triggered Modifiers says if you don't control your capital, you get -2 (might be 3, can't remember) yearly prestige and -0.02 monthly war exhaustion, i thought you added that minus by accident, because you losing your capital decreasing how exhausted you are in a war, frankly makes no sense.

i like it, but why does having your capital be controlled by the enemy reduce your war exhaustion ?
Shouldn't it increase it. if anything else ?
