This mod is great for anyone who wants to remove magic from the game and make it more Futuristic, you could make one to remove Swords and others, I don't know if it's possible but it would be a good Mod, There are a lot of people who don't like the fact of Medieval Weapons in the game. @Azure Fang

Hey guys stop making a big deal about it. Like the creator says, if you don't like the mod, don't use it.

What's with all this getting butthurt because you feel like your precious staves and wands have been insulted.

And this is coming from a guy who LOVES using a staff as his primary weapon. I got a nice Ice Orb + Attraction Zone staff as my handy staff of choice.

You know, you don't have to subscribe to mod if you don't like it... just saying. Me and my friends hated to keep finding stupid wands/staffs in loot chests, now with this mod we find all other kind of fancy loot which is more valuable to us

i would rather have a mod that removes just the staff, not the magic, so you can cast spells with your hand instead, when using the RPG stats mod it just looks cooler to cast spells with your hand :P (i have 1 mod that adds a single spell wich you cast my hand which is now my primary :P)

You need to get rid of other mechanics though, because it's pretty obvious the Starbound universe has other instances of magic, such as a lot of the stuff relevant to the main quest. The relics and gateway for example. Basically, if you're looking for a completely sci-fi experience, you're barking up the wrong tree with Starbound.

That said, Sci-fi fantasy is a great deal more interesting than plan-old-sci-fi. No Man's Sky might be more your speed.
