you say the mod is safe to UNINSTALL at any time, but can I jam this in an existing playthrough safely?

This mod is neat, but I've found that often on certain planets it'll cause the game to crash with the following error in the logs:

[Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (AssetException) No such frame 'idle' found for alias 'idle.1'

seems like it might be some problem with an animation?

This mod overwrites some special attacks of base game monsters, and often cases this can make them weaker. For anyone that uses pets, this mod is not for you sadly.

This mod is good for single player however in multiplayer it causes random EOF crashes just like @Sassy Archon Haver said.

As cool as this mod is, npcs are extremely vulnerable. The new attacks absolutely destroy them, and they'll just stand there and take hit after hit. I don't imagine there is a way to counteract this, but it's somewhat problematic imo.

Many thanks to you, dear sir, for this great change in the gameplay! I don't know why the devs deleted this feature, it really adds the monsters their special features and makes them more interesting and challenging. And, to be honest, their attacks aren't so unbalanced as some say, personally I'm quite satisfied with what the mod provides. Thank you!

Love the mod. Really adds some diversity to the monsters! My only gripe about it is that not only are monsters CRAZY fast in wanting to rip your internals out and leave your body parts rotting in the sun, but the projectiles added by this mod are just too damn powerful. I could be minding my own business in a high level planet while wearing the corresponding equipment, then all of a sudden some random monster starts pelting me with lightning bolts, rainbow puke, or slime. These projectiles are no joke, as they'd reduce me to about 1/5th of my health. Then before I can even get a few clean shots or swings at them, they charge at me at mach 10 and finish me off in an instant. Just hoping that the damage of the projectiles could be toned down a bit, but otherwise, an amazing mod indeed!

is there a possibility to tweak the monster projectile damage? because enemy in my game is just extremly agresive, quite bulky, and now they can deal what i can only describe as f*ck ton of damage.

@Xaliber, nevermind, I figured out via other forums that this mod was indeed the problem. There's a sprite issue that the game apparently can't load, causing it to crash. Is it me or the enemies with "shotgun" type skills hit very hard? There was one that had eyeballs that bounced so on a close space it dealt ton of damage.

Thanks for trying to help with my issue with supper overhaul , i have a few of issues with it so i wont ask you if you could do it , im fine playing with this mod anyways.
In case you want to know : i dislike the aimbot of npcs a lot.I dont use the w+direction keys to dash because i have Zerotap dash (i recommend it , well at least it is the one worked the best i found). In the starter planet i spent a lot of time with a throwing spear because weapons dealt potato damage and by getting hit like once by an enemy i lost half hp bar so i thought i was playing Sekiro again.

NPCs have energy ingame right? When i went on a run with supper installed , very close to the spawn there were a lot of bandits+cultists and they were shooting non stop (it was hell)

Since im starting from 0 if i find something that could be tweaked a little ill try to leave a suggestion , good luck.

I thought i left a comment saying thanks for working on this mod lol , seems like my comments didnt appear in some mods for idk reasons.
I have not played much with this mod but was wondering if all enemies of vanilla are covered already , so that is why i asked if this was going to keep getting updated (to maybe add more enemies) i use pandoras box you probably saw that mod and helps having different enemies and i hope it is affected by this mod.
To answer your other question , maybe not this mod but if you made in the future ai improvements to enemies i would install it lol , i have downloaded some of your collections already.

Or, since I'm an unofficial caretaker of Supper's mod, what do you want to specifically not see from Supper's? I can make an easier version patch.

Are you planning on keeping this updated with more enemies combat tweaks? i tried supper and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hp + aimbot + etc etc made me uninstall

I remember when the randomly generated monsters would grow in size and maturity. And most of them had special attacks beyond just running into you. Removing that feature was unbelievably stupid.

Most of Special Attacks in here are 10 times better then FU's.

Like don't get me wrong I like FU but man does it have some bad attacks.

An update!

Not much actually. Just some balance changes:
- Large bipeds have less defense
- Large flyers have less attack power
- Small quadrupeds have 33% chance to have normal melee attacks alongside ranged attacks
- Small bipeds have 20% chance to have normal melee attacks alongside ranged attacks

And:
- Code rewrite to ensure compatibility with other mods that add attacks

Let me know how this change works for any of you. Still too strong? Became too weak? Anything!

I love these! Kinda crazy though, I feel like every monster has some overpowered special attack, would love a version where they're slightly less common

@Xaliber It's been a while since I played, so the logs are probably long gone. I'm planning on rebuilding my modpack pretty soonish and when that happens I'll test this mod again and give you the logs.

How to report crashes:

1. Go to your Starbound folder (usually C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound)

2. Open your /storage/ folder

3. Find starbound.log

4. Open it, copy everything on it, paste it to pastebin.com or 0paste.com

5. Put the link here.

This mod is still supported, just let me know if there's any bug.

Don't use Supper's Monster Additions; you use Supper's Combat Overhaul instead.

A note to people using FU: Sayter claims he's also re-enabled monster special attacks, so if you're rolling FU, you may not need this mod.

I captured a large flying monster and found out he has 219 attacks with the mod and only 87 without. Does the mod enhance the damage of monsters ? (same with stamina)

After a bunch of testing, i figured out that the server I'm renting is giving me a generic EOFException error in the logs if this mod is installed. I made sure both I and the server had the mod and no other mod with a fresh universe & character. Any advice? Honestly this is the one mod I actually REALLY want installed in this server.

这个MOD和「Supper's Monster Additions」移动到mods文件夹后启动游戏,在怪物攻击的时候怪物会立刻死亡,虽然在SMD的工坊写着「They aren't compatible with "Enable Monsters Special Attacks"」,然而这俩在workshop文件夹内却能正常共用,没有自杀的BUG¯\_ʕ•ɷ• ʔ_/¯

This mod is so fun. I am catching all the cool animals I see. I feel bad for the regular unique monsters though. They are really underpowered by comparison. I don't know if there is any way to bring the damage down a little bit because it does make escort quests almost impossible (NPC's fault though).
