I'm already at Episode 5 on the series, I've only seen the one where there's an overgrown basement with a wrecked table and a chest. Found the mug hat in the first one.

also usually generators, drills and similar stuff generate heat. It should make sence to cover this red thing on the middle with doors (but thats just my personal suggestion)
