is this client sided

That's an odd thing about data transfer sometimes though, when the host has something and some weird lag or scan happens and other people don't... Weird things might happen XD
Though I do doubt that this would cause crashes. I do know that 1 of my players has had odd crashes every now and then, but he has issues with most games due to Mac. Otherwise, there's only been minor issues here and there which are probably born from having near 70 mods that I am testing to see if they work together before adding more.
Can confirm though, this mod still works perfectly fine. Even with FU etc.

While admittedly i haven't updated this in a while, nor played with it myself, just based on the way the mod itself works I don't see how these crashes could be related to it. this is a purely client side mod that has absolutely no influence on other players whatsoever.

Really hope this won't cause any issues... Might hold off for now until @Amdx says it's been fixed.
I already plan to try playing with a friend and what not.

I like this mod, but my friends cant join games that I host without crashing from it. Just thought I'd say, incase anything could be done for it.

could you add Elemental Correstialism's ores to be illuminated cause they are not

Well as of now Industrialization: Starbound Edition from what I've found out is canceled.
You can't find any download link for the mod anymore.

Tried again by removing all mods except ISE and IO for a new save. The ISE ores still have no light and i also tried the original version and the dimm version. Same way for the Lettered Ores they only affect the vanila ones but non of ISE

As far as i know only illuminated ores, letteres ores and ISE should modify ores, also vanila ores glow only the ISE ones don't work for some reason

I have no idea why they wouldn't, to be honest. Unless you have some other mod that somehow modifies ores?

its a nice idea, and specially your lettered ores, makes it a helluva lot easier for people who have troubles identifying ores

Personally, I like how different the Starbound ores are by themselves,
very easy to recognize, -especially- now that they're illuminated.
That makes this a top-notch mod imo, GJ! *tips baret to you

yes, I just realized the screenshots are a bit missleading, I'll make sure to fix that next time I take new ones. The Letters are actually from my other mod, "Lettered Ores", which is linked above.
