Small mini-update before the holidays! Added a new Easter egg hero that the Rebel Alliance can unlock after conquering Senex-Juvex. I won't spoil who it is, but I think fans of Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) are going to like it. :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Remember to be mindful of your blessings, hold your family and friends close during the holidays, and never lose sight of what truly matters in this world. I will return to the modding scene in January, and will hit the ground running with a new playable faction: The Sith Empire!

Remake REDUX v1.4 -- The GUNS OF THE EAST Update

CHANGELOG:
-A brand new playable faction: The Hapes Consortium! Overwhelm your enemies with line infantry gun lines, Battle Dragons, and, optionally, a collection of new heroes and units hailing from a strange new world...
-Buy new Strategic Resources from the seven Major Sectors of the galaxy through Trade Hubs, each with their own unique effects -- but be careful not to buy too many, lest you drown your empire in inflation!
-The Grand Web Way GC map has been reworked into the STAR WARS: Total War sandbox campaign, which hopefully will eventually become the most comprehensive (and fun!) Expanded Universe strategy experience ever made.
-New ground heroes, as well as an extensive overhaul to Darth Vader's ground hero variant, to add more flavor and life to your ground battles.
-A massive rework of economic structures, resulting in smoother galactic map gameplay and improved performance and stability.
-And as always, lots of smaller reworks, tweaks, bug fixes, and new content!

After more than a week of work, I am proud to present to you all:

Remake REDUX: The MANDALORIAN IRON Update

CHANGELOG BELOW

Major Additions/Changes
-A brand new playable faction: The Mandalorian Clans! Command the tattered remnants of Spar's Mandalorian alliance, unite the divided clans and prepare the fires of war once more, intervene in the Clone Rebellion with Kal Skirata, and lead Mandalore to its final showdown with its ancient arch-nemesis - Coruscant. Only playable on Grand Web-Way!
-The Upkeep Overhaul! No longer will you have to pay upkeep for your capital ships - instead, all upkeep, both economic and pops, is now done through your military buildings.
-The Starfighter Squadron Overhaul! Most fighter and bomber squadrons now come with 12 models, with gunship and fast attack craft squadrons being adjusted accordingly to ensure as much as balance as possible, while still feeling much more large-scale than vanilla Remake.
-Various model rig and skin edits generously provided by EmperorNiko!
-TIE Fighters have been overhauled to be much more useful in the early game, and so have TIE Interceptors for the mid game - drawing from pre-2000s Expanded Universe lore to represent them as the highly capable, nimble dogfighters that they should be. No longer will TIEs be impotent cannon fodder or follow loretuber or Curtis Saxton nonsense logic!
-Lots of smaller unit overhauls, tweaks, bug fixes, and new content!

EMERGENCY HOTFIX: The Steam Workshop version was using an incorrect directory, causing the mod to not properly install for some people. This is now fixed. Big shout-out to the user kkuy678 for pointing this out, he has potentially saved me and all of us a massive headache!

REMAKE REDUX: UPDATE 1.2 CHANGELOG

-Major Additions/Changes
-A brand new unit for the Empire -- the S-1 FireHawke Main Battle Tank. As fast as it is armed to the teeth, this potent repulsortank will be available for both the Imperial Army and the Stormtrooper Corps once the Empire reaches Era 3. Additionally, in Era 2, the Empire can reform the legendary Hell's Hammers armored brigade, outfitting them with prototype FireHawkes. Credit to the Phoenix Rising team for generously letting me use the S1 FireHawke model created by Nerteo!
-A new Major Boss Battle mechanic! Lord Starkiller and Darth Nihilus now have a "second phase", bursting out of their flagships upon death and doing battle with the enemy face to face. Be sure to send everything you have to defeat a Major Boss' second phase and destroy them for good, as they will auto-retreat if every other friendly unit of theirs is destroyed, and their flagship will respawn on the galactic map, good as new. More Major Bosses coming soon!
-A brand new ground building system! Build specific factories to hyperspecialize a star system into producing a specific category of unit, or populate a system with city districts to boost your empire's population. Note that the Rebel Alliance cannot build city districts and have to rely on their space colonies for population and manpower; meanwhile, the Crime Lords now have their own, unique building system.
-Light overhaul for the Rebel Alliance. They now start the game with only outdated fighters, bombers, and a couple corvette and frigate designs, and must climb their way up the Era ladder to obtain their Original Trilogy-era ships and heroes. This will encourage Rebel players to be fast, aggressive and mobile in the early game, and will make the faction be a bit more unique.
-Naval bombardments! Build wet navy dockyards, produce surface cruiser squadrons and deploy them in ground battles to support your ground forces from afar.
-Many, many smaller tweaks, bug fixes, and new units, as well as new flavor text.

REMAKE REDUX 1.0 CHANGELOG

Major Additions/Changes
-A brand new Infantry and Starfighter Attrition Damage mechanic. Infantry, starfighters, and other lighter ground vehicles will run low on fuel, ammunition and morale as a battle drags on, taking additional damage over time. This makes it imperative to always have the new, uniquely identified Fleet Carrier units and supply trucks nearby, so your units can rearm, refuel and rest before going back into the meat grinder. The original morale and ammunition fee scripts have been removed as they were both awful ideas and are no longer needed.

-Artillery has been buffed significantly. No longer are self-propelled guns useless paperweights. They can now be absolutely crucial in deciding the outcome of a battle - all while remaining balanced and fair.

-A Magazine Explosion mechanic based off of @CanadaMan7's excellent Insolvence boom of doom™ mechanic. Ships carrying a high volume of physical munitions now have a 30% chance of having their ammunition being ignited upon death, resulting in a chain reaction that can damage or destroy all nearby units, including friendlies.

-Uplink Station has been entirely reworked. Now instead of one orbital cannon firing very slowly, the attacker will, every twenty-five seconds, face the full barrage of the planet's orbital defense grid - nearby warships, planetary turbolasers, the whole nine yards!

-New heroes - both silly Easter eggs and semi-serious hero units - and reworks of existing ones.

-A brand new Era System that replaces the original War Escalation mechanic. Tech levels will now advance the campaign through the chronological Expanded Universe timeline, with various units and heroes moved up and down the ladder accordingly.

-Complete overhaul of the Imperial Defectors NPC faction. They are now called the Warlord Fiefdoms, and upon reaching Era 3, the five iconic Imperial warlords from the Expanded Universe - Zsinj, Teradoc, Kaine, Delvardus and Harrsk - will spawn at their respective homeworlds, now protected by Golan IIs to ensure that they don't get wiped out immediately.

-New music! Sourced from Super Mario Galaxy, the TOUHOU Project, and more!

-Many, MANY unit overhauls to bring them closer to their Expanded Universe specifications. For example, Providences and Venators now have their broadside mass drivers, Vindicators and VSDs got their quad turbolasers back, and the ISD is finally a true battleship. Many Disney Canon units have also been replaced with Expanded Universe units, or reworked to be more lore-friendly.

-Three new events: Starkiller assassinating Darth Vader and becoming Palpatine's new apprentice at Era 4, the formation of the Dark Empire at Era 5, giving the Empire a very strong endgame but also removing Thrawn and spawning him as a hero for the Warlords, and the Katana Fleet, where every faction can reactivate a limited number of Katana Dreadnaughts upon conquering the Senex-Juvex Sector.

-The SSD boss phase mechanic has been completely gutted. It didn’t really seem to serve a gameplay purpose and I suspect this will improve stability and performance in the long run.

overhauled the Recusant, Sabaoth, Venator and Vengeance, and included a few new surprises for EU fans :)
