Version 1.0.0 – Entertainment: IX Era Expansion (NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE)
Optimization & Bug Fixes

- MOST IMPORTANT: The mod no longer modifies MAP_DATA files – this means much broader compatibility with other mods.
- ALSO IMPORTANT: Introduced a simple decolonization event (can be disabled via game rules). As late society techs are researched, colonies, vassals, etc., will increasingly demand independence.

- Fixed a bug where home appliances incorrectly required active glassworks PMs – older versions blocked production.
- Simplified numerous PMs (especially vanilla ones) for better balance, early-game compatibility, and to reduce reliance on custom goods. Many mod PMs now use fewer types of input goods (though not less quantity).
- Optimized pop growth for improved historical accuracy (higher SoL now slows growth) and better performance.
- Dynamic education: Literacy rate is now also influenced by national wealth, simulating a society’s capacity to support education.

Buildings
- Added Automotive Industry – produces vehicles and tanks.
- Introduced Battery Industry, split off from electronics.
- Created Software Industry.
- Added Digital Media Industry.
- New Renewable Power Plant, with wind and solar PMs – requires few input goods but a lot of construction points!
- Updated building visuals for Alloy Plant, Electronics Industry, and Refinery.

Goods
- Added Rare Earths – a strategic resource for the very late game.
- Introduced Software and Digital Entertainment – both are also consumed passively by pops.

Production Methods (PMs)
- New PMs for: Wires, Batteries, TVs, Vehicles, Engines, Electronic Components, Processors, Computers, Telephones, and Publishing Industry.
- Improved train PMs: late-game trains now use steel and aluminium instead of alloys.
- Added Horizontal Drilling and Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking) PMs for Gas and Oil.
- Added early gas production PMs: coal mines can now produce gas; refineries can produce early oil. Gas rigs now produce a small amount of oil.
- Gas streetlights now correctly require gas, not coal.
- Moved civil planes to the War Machine Industry.
- Added new PMs for agriculture and livestock.
- Added new PM for mines in order to cover late game.

Extra Features
- Added Modern Urban Planning as a new Society tech (Skyscrapers! …but not in Europe).
- Machine Learning has been moved to the Production tech tree (still largely decorative for now).
