Just fixing a small error with tying in-laws into existing dynasties.

  • ANSF3 now has the ability to create a spouse for you, if you are not married when you take the decision. The new spouse can have parents made for them (who can be connected to existing dynasties or simply generated) or can be created without in-game parents (and connected to an existing dynasty, themselves, as an option).
  • If you connect yourself to an existing dynasty, you will now be a bastard if one of your parents is dead and the other missing (and therefore must be created) since they cannot be set as married to a dead person.
  • If you connect yourself to an existing dynasty, existing siblings who are themselves bastards or legitimized bastards won't be connected to any parent you create, if you need to create one. A dead subling can now be connected to that parent, however, if that parent is old enough.
  • If you connect yourself to the landless former holders of your title, they and their family will be added as your courtiers.

  • The last version of your mother/father before switching to create one linked to an existing dynasty is now properly made to disappear and will no longer become a wandering character.
  • The previous holder of your primary title is now added to the list of possible characters who can be scoped to for linking to an existing dynasty.

The initial decision can now be used after the first game year so long as your character has no set mother or father.

  • Added code which calculates when the dead spouses of existing dynasty members can still be legitimate parents, so there are likely to be more non-bastard options for hooking into existing dynasties.
  • The player now gets the option to modify their own status at the beginning of the event series. You can make yourself a peasant leader (and your family all lowborn), your father a peasant leader, or you can use the existing system for hooking into an existing dynasty and place yourself as the child/sibling of an existing world character (instead of using it for your parents). Or you can still proceed with the system as it stood before, at your choice.

  • Added initial option to back out of the main event, if you're not ready.
  • Added an option to create a sibling as a twin, so long as you're not already one.
  • Added an option to claim the dynasty of a parent who you've hooked up to one existing in the world (in addition to the normal option where they have that dynasty but you do not). This comes with a warning that you're unlikely to begin the game as house head.
  • Edited down some of the event texts, so they don't flow past the naming widget.

  • Added the ability for parents to be bastards, when they're assigned to an existing dynasty. This will expand the number of available dynasties, as they can be older than the current heirs (it's intended that you can't insert them into the line of succession).
  • You will now be notified ahead of time, if assigning a parent to an existing dynasty, whether they'll end up as a bastard or legitimized bastard.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented more than one option at a time from showing up in the list of existing dynasties you could assign a parent to.
