Alright, I found a workaround. The fix is in the new update.

OK, this is something that appears to affect all spawned characters. If you use script values for the lower and upper age ranges of a spawned character, it now automatically uses the lowest value... whereas, before the update, that appeared to work fine.

So it's not an update mistake (whew!) but more that Paradox has changed how the system works under the hood. I'll see if there's a workaround.

@NOBERZ @Zuzutu I just checked, and while it's odd that siblings and mothers are currently always created at their minimum age you can simply un-check the "Randomize Age" box and change their age manually. In the meantime, I'll see if I can figure out why the age randomization doesn't seem to be working.

I have an issue with your mod where all the siblings I can generate are 0 years old and my mother is always exactly 16 years older than I am. Still thank you for updating the mod so fast though.

@Milsugione Then I'd suggest trying the discussion thread for reporting bugs and explaining what they are, including whether or not you've combined it with other mods (and what those might be). "Issues" tends to be short for "mod conflicts", which I'm not really responsible for as I don't promise compatibility, but either way I can't do anything about it without some explanation.

An update is definitely needed, as the DLC changes are extensive. I'm not going to have time to really look at it until this weekend, however.

It seems like it isn't compatible with the newly released dlc. My gui is bricked when playing as a chinese administrator, I can't see my merit level, treasury, situation, etc...

After the update, when creating a family all siblings are 0 years old no matter how many times you try re generating one ^^

Small question about Bastards and Bastard Founders:

If I were to be a Bastard and connect myself to an existing dynasty, will I be part of that dynasty but in my own house?

@Kabibi In terms of the physical traits you can assign to created family members, it's tier 1 only. The idea of is to create reasonable family members, not supermen.

@Jet You can't be siblings without having the same parents. Assuming neither parent is a ruler you've connected yourself to, you do indeed receive the option for both parents to die.

gotcha. question on this mod, is it not possible to start a family with just your brothers known? I wanted to start as a band of brothers as a military adventurer so wouldnt make sense to include sisters or parents. I know you can kill off the dad right away, but the same doesnt exist for the mother does it

@Flavored Abortion If you've linked *yourself* to an existing dynasty, then no. The oldest you can make a generated full sibling (both parents are the same) is your own age minus one.

@c✓z Not unless I make some kind of list of said dynasties or characters. Right now, the code grabs any appropriate characters and adds them to the list, and there are only so many ways to dynamically do so (especially among dead characters).

Will it be possible to later allow player characters to claim to be descendants of ancient bloodlines, as well as being the posthumous children of some dead characters, or being the heirs of some non-independent rulers, or rulers of some other cultural characters? I think the scope of paternity can be wider, just like those historical claimants.

@scottytsr Depends on what you've set the gamerules to. By default, the decision disappears after the first game year, and you can't get it back... not without using another mod like, say, Gamerule Gadget and changing the ANSF3 gamerule settings.

I know this is random, but I love this mod so here goes. Any chance that you could add a new feature that saves your family? Maybe have a pre-set 1-5. This way you can start a new game and click 1, boom they younger twin vying for title, 3 sisters, the bastard brother and both parents just pop up, then I can edit. Not sure how hard that would be since I have NOOOOO idea how to code/mod

What determines if my character can be the bastard son of another? I am trying to make my character the illegitimate son of Bjorn Ironside but it only allows me to be either brother or son.
