Update:

  • General: The "Renaissance Incubator" dummy unit has been removed due to several issues. This should resolve the CTDs which many users have been experiencing.
  • General: Cities will now have a production penalty when building Incubators in Eras starting with Medieval, and a production bonus in the Ancient Era. Note: This does mean that the turn estimate for how long it takes to build an Incubator will only be accurate once you set your city's production to it, and that you will have inaccurate turn estimates for building anything else while you are building an Incubator. The modifiers are:
    • Ancient: +10%
    • Classical: 0
    • Medieval: -10%
    • Renaissance: -20%
    • Industrial: -30%
    • Modern: -50%
    • Atomic: -70%
    • Information: -80%
  • General: Cost of rush-buying Incubators increased.
  • General: All Incubators' yield values buffed, except for Homura's and Nagisa's.
  • General: Due to general annoyance and repetitiveness, the selection sound effects for Great Magical Girls and Incubators have been disabled until I find better alternatives. You may undo this by going into the mod folder, opening the XML folder, opening the Units folder, then opening CIV5Units-Madoka.xml in a text editor, and finally deleting the lines which begin with "Delete this line". Tiro Finale Infantry retains its selection sound.
  • U. Madoka: Fixed issue with the script which runs with DLL - Various Mod Components.
  • Sayaka: No longer reports Great Person progress from kills if AI controlled.
  • Spoiler Civ 1 (Nagisa): Better diplomacy screen added.

  • Incubator Unit: To help the AI, which cannot properly utilize this unit's ability, it gets the Incubator's bonus as soon as it creates the unit, utilizing the population of the Civ's capital.
  • Incubator Unit: Should no longer be granted to non-PMMM Civs at the beginning of the game.
  • Incubator Unit: Production cost in Ancient-Medieval era reduced to 30.
  • Ultimate Madoka: Added an enhanced version of the Magical Girl spawn script which works with whoward's DLL -- Various Mod Components. This is more reliable than the non-DLL version of the script. Unlike the previous releases of Madoka's Civilization which required the DLL to function, this script will work if the DLL is loaded, but will default to the regular script if it is not.
  • Ultimate Madoka: BNW only Artist-type Magical Girls have an inherent -10% Combat Strength penalty to offset how easily they are obtained compared to other Magical Girls.
  • Ultimate Madoka: Overall reduction in the effectiveness of Magical Girl promotions to help rebalance the Civilization. Additionally, removed erroneous effects of some promotions which were not in the descriptions of the promotions.
  • Spoiler Civ #1: To help the AI, which cannot properly utilize this civilization's ability, Great Merchants will cause a Cattle resource to appear in the AI's territory as soon as they are born.
  • Spoiler Civ 2: Fixed issue which could cause the special trait condition to not be met if the civ met was Madoka Kaname.
  • Sayaka: Removed free Great Artist/Musician at Acoustics and Golden Age length(GAK)/Golden Age Musician bonus(BNW).
  • Sayaka: After discovering Acoustics, now gain points towards a Great Artist(GAK)/Musician(BNW) for every kill. Amount of points is equal to 1/10 of the killed unit's base strength, rounded down (rounds to 0 if the unit has less than 10 Strength). Points are awarded to the Capital(GAK)/whichever city contains the Musician's Guild(BNW).
  • Mami: Now requires 2 City-State allies to gain 1 point of strength for Melee/Gunpowder units.
  • Kyouko: Sakura Church religious pressure modifier reduced to 15%.
  • Mami, Sayaka, Kyouko: Replaced diplomacy screen images.

Major Update. Recommended not to update if you are in the middle of a saved game.

  • Madoka: Changed name to Ultimate Madoka.
  • Homura: Civilization name changed to Neo-Mitakihara.
  • New Civilization added: Madoka Kaname's Mitakihara. This represents Madoka before she became Ultimate Madoka. It is focused on Ranged units.
  • Incubator Unit: New 3D model added!
  • Incubator Unit: Upon reaching the Renaissance, this unit's production cost increases. Depending on feedback, an additional cost increase in the Atomic Era is planned for a later update.
  • Mami: Trait revamped. It now provides +1 Production in all cities to both parties for Declarations of Friendship, and +1 Combat Strength to all Melee/Gunpowder units for each City-State Ally. No longer provides Gold or modifiers to City-State influence recovery/decay.
  • Spoiler Civ #1: Now gets a free Great Merchant upon discovering Animal Husbandry.
  • Spoiler Civ #1: Magical Dairy now provides +2 Production per Cattle/Sheep instead of +1. In GAK, now provides +3 Gold per resource instead of +2. In BNW, it no longer provides any Gold per resource, but enables creating another trade route. Merchant slot added.
  • Spoiler Civ #2: Unhappiness penalty from met Civilizations doubled to 10%.
  • Spoiler Civ #2: Special trait condition now triggers when meeting either Ultimate Madoka or Madoka Kaname. This can stack if both are on the map.
  • Spoiler Civ #2: Flat Happiness increase from Unique Building reduced to 2, but the building now reduces global Unhappiness by 2%, as a more direct means of counteracting the negative portion of the trait.
  • Ultimate Madoka: Rewrote some old dialog options from when she was the only PMMM Civilization, which referenced the presence of the other four Magical Girls in her realm.
  • General: Added a slight number of new dialog lines.
  • General: Various text corrections.

Update:

  • All civs: Changes text keys of city names to prevent conflicts with other mods. Note: if you load this update with a previous saved game, your cities will display names starting with ''TXT_KEY_''. You can rename your cities if this happens; and future cities you found will not suffer this issue.
  • Madoka: Fixed intermittent issue which could cause Magical Girls to not spawn.
  • Madoka: Can no longer gain Magical Girls if your GP is captured by an enemy (and the enemy keeps it), for real this time. Known issue: this will prevent you from getting MGs from any GPs of the same type as the captured unit, until you recapture it or the unit is killed/expended by the enemy.
  • Madoka: Great People captured from enemy Civs will no longer provide you with Magical Girls when they are killed or expended. Only Great People your civ spawns will provide Magical Girls.

Update:

  • Fixed issue which would cause spoiler civ #2 to not grant Happiness to other Civs if one or more Civs were eliminated from the game.
  • Spoiler civ #2's Happiness bonus to other Civs is now global. It was previously being affected by the population of the enemy Civ's capital.
  • The Iron Curtain policy will now provide an Illusion Realm on city capture. It will still provide the free Courthouse, but it will have no effect.

  • Rewrote the modified UnitPanel.lua. It should now work in both BNW and GAK without end-user input, and issues with the panel not loading in GAK should be fixed.

    • Spoiler Civ 1: Fixed issue where resource was not being granted from the UB.
