描述
This is an alternate version of Universe Generation Overhaul Reborn. They are not compatible with each other. This is for users who wish for an easier, "closer to vanilla" start when starting a new character compared to UGOR.

The goal of this mod is to make universe generation a little less "static", mixing more vanilla world types into each star, removing the default difficulty tiers from most planet types and more.
As with it's original form, servers should be able to run this mod without requiring clients to subscribe.
Also like the original UGO, this mod is not compatible with Frackin' Universe!
Due to changes in universe generation, this is also incompatible with Geek's Starter Planet.

Creating a new universe is not necessary for this mod to take effect, however any systems previously seen on the navigation panel and any universe chunks previously generated will not be affected by this mod. If you wish for most/all of your game to be affected, see the Universe Regeneration discussion.

What This Mod Does
For more details, see the Documentation discussion.
  • Removes planet-type difficultiy and replaces it with random generation: Now most planets will randomly select difficulty on generation. Want an "Unreal" forest with solarium ore? How about a "Moderate" frozen ocean? How about two different midnight worlds with different difficulties (see the screenshots!)? It's all possible! (Garden worlds, tier 1, have been left vanilla for player start generation reasons)
  • Adds additional orbits to system generation: Allows for more total planets per system.
  • Allows for up to Tier 7 planets: Hunt down "Unreal" planets for a bit more challenge.
  • Enables the "Moon" planet type: Found in vanilla files, allows primary planets to generate with moon biomes.
    • Gentle Stars are toned down in this version: Planets in gentle systems will not exceed Tier 2 (moderate) difficulty, and no planets requiring an EPP will generate (unless you count oceans). Variety is still improved over vanilla, but not as variable as Universe Generation Overhaul Reborn.
  • Adds variable weather generation each planet-type: Also allows a few appropriate weather types on planets that previously did not allow them.
  • Adds variable gravity, with ranges assigned per planet size
  • Increases the range for possible day length: it's now possible to have very long or very short cycles.
  • Enables "very small" size for moon and barren biomes

This mod is NOT "unsubscribe safe!" Due to the way the gentle star planets had to be implemented, unsubscribing from this mod will break most planets around gentle stars and require regeneration of affected systems.

Version 2.0 Notice
Due to some discovered limitations and issues with 1.4.x, generation of "verysmall" satellites of biomes other than moon and barren, as well as "small" planets in general, had to be removed. Existing universes will remain perfectly playable, though you may see some issues with "verysmall" satellites using planetary biomes. It is [strongly recommended[/b] to start a fresh universe after this update.

Mod conflict =/= bug. This is not present with only this mod installed.

This version of UGO's currently bugged, probably a mod conflict but the normal version of UGO doesn't do this. With this version installed numerous planets with vanilla planet types will only display as "largeObject_e" wiith a generic icon in the galaxy map, and entering a system they'll all be named "forest_e" or "savannah_e".

Alright, thank you anyways.

Aside from maintaining existing mods, I'm not certain if I will be modding Starbound again. Sorry.

Would it be possible to have varying daylight and gravity as a standalone? I really like these features, but the mod as a whole seems to be incompatible with a lot of stuff. I don't like to ask for things, but I can't find a mod that does anything similar.

@Azure Fang
It seems this mod is bugged, unfortunately.
I've unsubscribed all mods to verify, and when using this mod alone it still has an issue where some planets will appear to be their class on the nav map, but when in orbit they look like a completely different class.
When using the More Map Info mod these bugged planets will appear as "large objects" on the interstellar nav map with other typos on the solar nav map.
Thought I'd mention it, as this mod looks awesome otherwise.

Thanks, you're being really helpful.

Planets change universe generation, and as long as they rely on the original generation structure they either will not work at all or will cause generation issues. More Planets falls under the same description. Anything else varies.

hmm... I can't really be sure...
I mean, I imagine the planet mods wouldn't, as they just add planets?
But I guess I could see things like Arcana and K'Rakoths do that?
Lol, I just don't really know...

Anything that changes the universe generation will likely conflict.
