描述

This is a LITE version of the Ultimate Ambient Sounds mod that has a reduced number of ambient sounds in order to reduce crashing. The most noticeable difference is the removal of the looping sounds like crickets and crowdpanic. The airplane/UFO flyby sound set was also removed.

NOTE: The ambient sound system is unstable and can still cause random crashing sometimes when loading GC saves, but it is much less frequent than in the regular version. Use at your own discretion.

This mod used to help a lot, but with the updated Community Edition, the game has basically become unplayable again. I'll try disabling this mod, and play without any extra ambient sounds at all, see if that helps.

I get very frequent hangs on Mission Complete, so I’ll give this mod a try, see if it helps.

I've been using the full version for a whole game and the latest version of XCE without any issue. Is the light version still necessary?
