I don't have anything witty to say. This is a simple mod that makes chat text more readable by darkening the background to provide better contrast against bright backdrops. Part of my ever slowly growing series of visual improvements that nobody realizes that they want.

This doesn't break multiplayer.
The only mods that it won't be compatible with are mods that adjust the graphical assets of the chat box.
It will not kick your cat or steal your cake.
