"A handy rod made of stone, used for making torches deep underground."

Tired of having to chop trees, plant them, refine wood into planks, and then convert said planks into torches to then resume exploring deep, dark caves? Tired of running out of torches 5 minutes later, having to go back up to do the exact same thing again just to keep exploring?

Tired of having a horde of cobblestone in your inventory, and not having any idea on what to use them for?

Well, me too.

This simple mod adds a stone "rod" craftable from two cobblestone, which in turn can be combined with coal to create stone torches. These rods can be made from the "plain" crafting interface, so it can be crafted on the spot, when you need it most.

Alongside a regular coal torch, there's now different torches with different effects and lighting! Solarium is ultra-bright, Uranium can be used underwater, and Plutonium for all your dim lighting needs!

Fairly doubtful that I'll add some sort of handheld torch; while it does fit the theme I'd have to make a new set of items exclusively to be handheld according to the only mod that does this, and it does this very well.

@Fuyuno Currently the torches are two-handed, however I've been recently thinking about making that change!

Oh! That's good news, then if everything is working as intended, they should still be available at the Ursa Miner once the appropriate missions are cleared. Hope you enjoy!

They were disabled, but not removed.

The mod does indeed enable the obtainability of both Uranium and Plutonum ores; they are unlocked at the Ursa Miner after having completed certain missions. Unless, of course, they were entirely removed from the game (not disabled as they have been from the longest time), then I might need to look up into this.
