Hello, this is my first real mod I ever created and published!

(Short info: the screenshots show the map during the beta of the map editor Terry and because of that you can not see grass, but in the current map there is grass so dont worry ^^ )

Now this is out of the way, i want to say thank you for reading this text and even considering to subscribe to this mod/map. This is NOT a lorefriendly map and was just created out of my head AND there are A LOT OF TREES, so it depends if you like that as well. Anyway, this map was more an experiment for myself, to see if i can create a good map, so i rely on you guys to help me out to find any sort of bugs and inbalances of the map, to make it better, please be nice :)
So what i tried to do here, was to make a very beatiful looking huge map with many strategic points that flow very nicely into the design. I tried to give the Defenenders a little hill advantage but with many traps for them due to a very open field and many ways for the attackers to sneak behind the defender lines. So there a multiple ways to attack the defending postion. Of course you can also try to attack as the defendeder which should also work decently well.
The little story behind this map is, that the mountain castle was once a high elven castle, which was abonded after the high elves left the orld world. Then a rich noble bretonnian family came and claimed the castle for them self. They invested a huge amount of money to "rebuild" the castle and now it serves them as a nice summer castle, because the air in the mauntains is not as hot as in bretonnia during summer time. (Btw i am not an expert in the warhammer lore). If you have any suggestions to the story, please tell me thank you ^^

That is basically all i have to say, i guess, and if you did not notice already, my primary language is not English :D


Update 2.3:
-Updated the map to the newest version (there was an update for the editor).
-Deleted the procedural generated grass that went over the field of the little farm.


Update 2.2:
-Tried to fix some of the AI and line of sight issues, maybe it helps, maybe not.


Update 2.1:
-Added visual effects to some parts of the map to make everything a bit more mysterious and magical (Picture 16-19).
-Added more merlons to to the balcony/terrace of the mountain castle on the right side, so it does not look like people could fall of very easily (Picture 15).


Update 2.0
-Added more detail to the defenders spawn by adding a little farm to it, which should also give some extra little cover. (Picture 13 & 14)


Update 1.0:
-Added more buildings to the Mountain Castle on the right side to make it more detailed and represent better a rich noble bretonnian family. (Look at the 12th picture)
-Fixed some steep terrain issues on the borders to the the mountains.

@Train27 Aww thank you for very informative review :) I cant really fix the AI problem, this is out of my knowledge, so you probably just have to play the map in multiplayer against other players unfortunately :/

Pros:
+The map is very good looking , overall the big scale of elements and the greenish peaceful atmosphere give a great and unique feeling to the map.
+The two valleys are very noticeable, forming to clear U's that reinforce the very concept of fighting within a mountain chain.
+The map offers two paths for the attacker side, one shorter and wider for bigger armies, and another one thinner but hidden from sight because of the mountains.

Cons:
+As stated here before, the attacker AI always takes the left (shorter) path, this means that either you go with him and go for full frontal assault, or you rally your troops on the longer (yet more strategic) path and get to battle with all units exhausted, because the AI never waits for you.

This map is really great, and I think it's only fault could be solved by stopping the friendly (attacker) AI for ~1min to give the player some time to coordinate the arrival of troops to the enemy front.

Thank you for your feedback daemonykos, i am definetly not an AI expert and not a professional map designer (this is my first ever published mod/map), but i assume that the reason why the AI is doing this, is because it is the shortest way to the spawn. I will also have a look at the small farm and the fallen tree and will try to fix these issues ^^

this is a very good multiplayer map, but falls very shot with or against the AI. not sure its the maps fault tho! i played on the map and what i noticed: the AI rushes to the left every time, there is some line of sight issues on the middle left area, where the fallen tree and small farm plot look to be. it thinks they are blobking it so makes the vision on the map look wierd and AI has problems going around those obstacles. overall very fun and sexy map, keep up the good work!

Also the defenders reinforcement line is in this area, to make it look like they came from the mountain castle, if this map will be added to the campaign.

Well my first intention was to make symmetrical map, but after a friend said it would be quite boring, i made it asymmetrical. The purpose of the Northeast area is to have an extra deployment zone for skirmish units where they can hide and flank the main army. I did that because i did not find a lot of maps that would make the skirmish ability a good trait. And because there are a lot of trees on this map, the light troops are more usefull too if you decide to fight in the forest.

Btw, did a quick battle vs the AI(Gonna play with a few friends later today). My only thing with the map is why the odd area to the Northeast that seems to serve no purpose? Was there originally supposed to be something there?

Hey, downloading the map right now. I'm just saying, allot of people will consider it more if you had a picture of the overview map so they could see roughly how the maps layed out.
