Well look at it this way, despite being different franchises, The Donkey Kong games are still in the Mario Extended Universe, like the M&L games.

@Coti Well, when I'm wrong I'm wrong. I didn't do enough research on Mario 2 I guess.


These models are still Donkey Kong characters tho. Still pissed at the person who uploaded this.

actually! fun fact! Mario 2 was actually fully developed by Nintendo. Nintendo was commissioned to make a game for The Fuji Television company, called Doki Doki Panic. Nintendo themselves thought Doki Doki Panic was really similar to Mario as well during development. The four main characters weren't legally owned by Nintendo, but they owned everything else. So legally, they didn't rip anything off, they just recycled a game
