MP Cooperative Start in other vehicles

描述
This mod replaces the "Expedition One Cooperative" game mode. It allows the scenario creator to setup a MP scenario that spawns players in different vehicles then the "Manned Descent Vehicle".

You still need to place a coop spawn point in the scenario editor, otherwise your scenario won't show up in the list.

The mechanics are as follows:
1.) If there is an existing MLV, the players will spawn in it.
2.) If there is an existing mobile lab, the players will spawn in a free seat. (added by this mod)
3.) If there is an existing cargo truck, the players will spawn in a free seat. (added by this mod)
4.) If there is an existing scout buggy, the players will spawn in a free seat. (added by this mod)

If there are none of the above mentioned vehicles on the map, a landing MLV will be spawned, with the player inside. The MLV will land towards a randomly selected coop spawn point.

If in any of the above scenarios all seats are taken, the player will spawn directly on the map.

The priority is as shown in the list above. If you have a cargo truck and a scout buggy, you will spawn in the cargo truck, if there are no free seats left, you will spawn directly on the ground (disregarding the buggy).

You can't select which cargo truck you spawn in, if there are several in the scenario.

This mod also support the Vehicle Resource Storage Tanks addon made by Enigma:

You don't need to have the Vehicle Resource Stoage Tanks addon installed for this mod to work, but if
you do, it will work.

TODO:
- Add a simple way for non coders to add new vehicles to the above mechanics, addon vehicles etc, change
priorites.
- Setup a way to control which vehicle to use (if several are in use)
- Do the same for the competitive mode

A couple questions. Is this mod likely to be still working? Are all the .lst files necessary? or would it work with just eo_cooperative.c? Thanks for making this mod!

Hey Jozo. Sorry for the long delay. I've been very busy at work. But you're right. It is quite possible to have beds as spawning points.

I've been looking through your coding, haven't read through it all yet, but figured I would ask the author before I attempt to make my own. Any chance of adding the beds (all of them) as spawn points as well? I see that the coding esesentially uses a 'if / then' command to place a player in a vehicle. Would it be terribly difficult to add the beds as items to spawn in as well? Mabye put them ahead of the buggy since the buggy has no airlock and anyone who has died, without an airlocked MML or Cargo Truck and doesnt have an MDV, will die instantly (at least I did when I tried in my scenario) Would personally love to be able to create a bed from the printer, lay it down in my habitat, go outside and die and then respawn on that bed.

I agree that the MML offers way more than the Cargo Transport for habitat reasons and for the number of player spawn locations; nonetheless, I love the flexibility this mod allows for.

Maybe for a really barebones start we can put a single toilet on the map and it be where all players spawn to... "hope some supply drops come soon"... :steammocking:
