TTR - Terrain Texture Replacer

描述
Because of this sad situation that the original Terrain Texture Replacer mod has not been updated since April 2015, I have developed my own. I have to start from a scratch, because the developer of the original mod did not respond to my messages or comments, nor did he publish his code to gitHub. Anyway, the mod should now be compatible with version 1.6 and there should be no problems too.

I'll post the Source code on GitHub, as soon as got time for it. If you wanna have it earlier, just pm me.

Allows replacing the default terrain textures.

Replacement textures go in the mod folder: \Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods\TTR\textures.
If no replacement texture is found, the default texture will be used.

Note: textures seem to appear much brighter in-game.

The following filenames must be used:

Textures:

Cliff: cliff_texture.png
Grass: grass_texture.png
Ruined: ruined_texture.png
Pavement: pavement_texture.png
Gravel: gravel_texture.png
Ore: ore_texture.png
Oil: oil_texture.png
Sand: sand_texture.png

Normals:
Cliff/sand: cliffsand_normal.png
Water: water_normal.png

Other:
Water foam: waterfoam_texture.png

Not working :( I need to replace ruined texture to be same as grass texture. This mod not helping :( I made folder Addons\Mods\TTR\textures place ruined_texture.png in here, but no change :(( Sad

@ricowilhelm Textures in Cities Skylines should be following the "Power of 2" so for map textures you should make the textures 1024, 2048 (normal maps can't go higher) or 4096 for 4K galore. Otherwise the game will itself add or compensate for the missing part. so your 1300x1300 texture the game tries to compensate up to 2048x2048.
Might be the reason you can't get things to work. Haven't tested this Mod myself. Looks promising. :)

It doesn't work in my case. Just wanted to use a different pavement texture, so I downloaded a png image in 1300x1300 px, changed the name and put it into the folder which I created first. But it has no effect in the game.

does this work if you have a Map Theme, or does the theme overwrite this?

Found the folder. It's under steamapps/workshop/content/255710/811664974/textures. Guessing it's different for Holy Crab because your files are local, whereas ours are from the Workshop. Thanks for this great mod!!

It doesn't create a folder called "TTR". I have tried to create one myself and add png's there and changing the names without any luck. What can I do?

@Holy Crab It's the upwardroad texture, the texture that is blended with whatever road textures you use to make the asphalt itself look a certain way, not the road markings. But yeah, nvm.

ok, if only you wanna change road textures, search for a mod in the workshop, i'm pretty sure there are a plenty of them up here.
