Yes, this still works with the base game - caveat emptor with other mods (as usual for modding).

At the time, I was modding the game off a laptop that could barely push the frames to 60 for the game on a good day. I could do it now, but that laptop is long gone.

Yes, the sign maker station is what I used back then. Takes time and patience.
Thanks to the generous soul to gave my first workshop award, despite this being a 6 year old small mod born out of a need for frames.
That being said, thanks for the feedback - I was working on a mod that will help reduce issues regarding high velocity weather, but I lost interest for awhile. Now that I know I'm not the only one with these sorts of issues, I'll be working towards make a .patch for it. You would've believe how many more frames you save from it.
