描述
It bothered me that the Aegisalt pistol had such a limited range (with it apparently being a laser), so I made a quick mod to increase the range of the beam from 20 to 100. The beam has to have a finite range for performance reasons. With that being said, this still extends the range from well beyond the veiwing range without impacting FPS. This is my first mod for Starbound so there are likely issues and it probably doesn't work with other mods that change the stats of the aegisalt pistol. Enjoy!

I am not sure, in the hands of a more talented modder than myself its likely. I just made this because I found that laser with such a short range was silly.

is it possible to have it deal less and less damage as you hit enemies farther away? otherwise the weapon's waaaaay too unbalanced

I will take a look into making a version with a range thats just beyong the veiwing area for people with potato PCs :)

Can you make a version of this that changes it to 50? because my pc is kinda meh and it causes a bit of lag.

Much more useful and realistic-seeming weapon now. Excellent as a 'tracer' round for more powerful dual-wielded pistols in the other hand, and for precise depletion of enemy health for pet capture. Great mod.

I took a look at the erchius eye and it behaves a little differesntly than the aegisalt pistol, when i have some time I will look at the gnome gun :)
