Do you think 'Sonic' Sphere was a reference to something...

(This mod changes the Sonic Sphere sprites and SFX to Sonic related ones, it's a little tacky but I did my best to make it decent)

are you able to make it to where if you go left the sphere sprites could flip alittle? or is that too much, it just seems weird for sonic to be spindashing backwards.
